The level is directly based on the stat points so it can be lower than both parents if they have a big enough variation (like one stat with 20 points and one stat with 40 points instead of both being around 30). The baby can inherit multiple stats that are below the average for its parents' levels and that makes them lower than expected. It's the same mechanism as the third baby being 240 even though the highest parent was only 224, but in reverse.

Maybe I should be more specific about what I had said in a prior video. Yes, if you bring wyverns and rexs into the boss arena together, the Manticore will not land and your rexs will be basically useless. However, I would recommend bringing rexs instead of wyverns for 2 main reasons. The first being their torpor. They will not knock out as quickly as wyverns. Second, they can tank damage much better than wyverns. For gamma and beta, good wyverns should be fine, but it might take a bit longer.

Axe you should check stats before purging babies. They could have had all the best stats except for food or oxygen. I’d take 30 points in food anytime over 54 points in food. FYI I tamed a dino with 54 points in food and it hurt bad. That’s why I put awesome spyglass and scs storage on my single player. To see all the stats when taming before and after and when breeding perfect breeders.automated ark has now become a staple for me now also.

Good lucky trying to take 20 wyverns into manticore, that many don’t fit on Ob 😂. We did it with 13, and two of those were flying above ob in range of boss bubble to teleport !

I tested out my wyvern the other day and the first argy I killed was a 145 and the second a 150. So then I went home 😐

You can disable the setting which is what they have done. If you are using a Nitrado server there is an option to disable it ^^. I don't know where the option would be for single player.
