Things turned out awkward with my previous crush back in 2016, I used to message her daily asking her how she's and sending her positive quotes and sometimes jokes, she loved it and always messaged me back, one day she asked me out for a coffee, it went ok, she was looking at me a lot and touched me multiple times, she also played a lot with her hair, I was so happy and thought she was gonna say something, but boy she didn't, after that the messaging continued until one day, I invited her to my home for lunch, her reply was strange, she told me that she's gonna be away with her boyfriend, this is the first time she ever mentions her having boyfriend and that made me wonder if she knew of my feelings towards her and wanted to push me away, needless to say I felt like a huge rock just fell on me, since then she started to ignore my messages and if she replys she says she's so busy and couldn't reply, I eventually told her that I won't be bothering her again, she told me I wasn't but that was my last message to her, not gonna lie that kinda left me with an emotional scar to this day, even tho I now have another crush "My teacher at university", I'm now very careful with my behaviour towards her and not trying to look suspicious. Even tho she does most of the signs you talked about when she's with me, I'm still scared of another heartbreak.

This is the same with me, but she doesn’t show too many of these signs and with the ones that she does, it’s the bare minimum. I think these are pretty good but only if the woman you crush on is 1) already close to you 2) extroverted. I know that for myself as an introvert and shy lesbian I don't become touchy feely with a crush, I blush, I panic if she accidentally touches my hand, I steal glances at her without her noticing (or at least I try), I do act differently toward her than other people (I smile more, I feel like my eyes smile too, like if I had stars in them, etc) and yeah these are I suppose not easy signs to spot.

The girl I like is really shy, and I mean like borderline archetype level shy (think twiddling fingers, eyes downcast, etc.) so it's near damn IMPOSSIBLE to figure out if she treats me differently or not. I'm not even sure if she likes girls or not. She's made it clear that she's a supportive ally, but she's never discussed her sexuality with our friend group so I don't even know her sexual orientation. My checklist~ 1. Compliments: sometimes, she is observant of my appearance, always notices changes. 9. She has never asked me, she does bring the lgbtg+ subject up but like in general and today she mentioned her being gay like 3 times (she had never told me she was gay before, I just assumed she was queer a long time ago) but to be fair we were watching Luca so it just came up 10. Future together: yes...but like, doesn't everybody? I mean we talk about the future as if we will always be in contact with each other and she once mentioned something about aging together, like both of us helping each other through our illnesses but it was more like a joke... Conclusion~ I looked this up because I suspected she liked me, but ended up discovering I'm the one who's doing all these. So I guess I'm the one that likes her lol Final thoughts~ All of this happens more with my straight friends: sitting in each other's lap, compliments, inviting me alone to their house or to the movies or wtv, face timing, joking flirt, future together...my bff and I even compared our dream homes, cars, countries to travel to...so we can find an in-between. So we truly never know 😂🤦🏻♀️

I went to a public small meetup where there's just gays and autistic and this one girl there who caught my eye ended up talking with me for the entire evening and we had great convos but we were complete strangers. I'm a quiet kid at school, I have no friends (literally, not exaggeration). This girl in my English started talking to me recently, and persistently, like she was trying to be my friend. This video is perfect for me!! I have a crush on my best friend. We go to school together and just to be weird and annoy the homophobes at our school we would walk around holding hands. But it started becoming more and more frequent to the point that whenever we were walking about campus whether it was before class during lunch during passing periods we would be holding hands. And i would make little jokes about how it’s totally platonic but every time she would respond with “no it’s not” and i never though anything of it i just thought it was a joke. I agree with all of this except the asking directly...it can be "simpler" but also it can end BAD, if she is a friend or close friend it becomes a nightmare afterward, they can change the way they act around you, feel stiff if you around you, start double guessing your normal routines or traditions ( over reading romantic intent behind everything). Like if they were comfortable hugging or just playing around it will probably get cut off. AND this has happened to me several times, and for me is the worse: they start overthinking everything you do or have done with or for them. It is even worse when they treat you like some basic horny dude, like oh all the nice things you do for me are because you want to get laid with me, when NO, you genuinely did them because you felt like it, you just thought about them, no silly sketchy ulterior motives .... :( #SorrYNeededToGetItOut
Things like this are why I make it clear that I'm aro/ace to my friends (LGBT+ or not), because I never want to be in a situation where someone is into me romantically but is too scared to tell me out of fear of this sort of thing happening. Everything that we do together is always going to be platonic, whether or not they are into me, and that will never change. I don't expect people to develop a crush on me, but I do worry that if they were to, my rejecting would inadvertently taint our friendship. I wouldn't just cut all physical contact, because I wouldn't have viewed it as romantic to begin with. But I'm scared of being too harsh, of hurting their feelings, of causing some kind of rift between us, without meaning to.

There used to be a girl that I really liked when I was in year 4. I hated her at first bc she was always hanging out with my best friend, but then her and I became really close. I just realized from this video that my crush last year might’ve liked me back but felt afraid to say it because although they were drifting apart and I don’t know if they liked eachother anymore, they technically had a girlfriend. They always held my hand and laid their head down on me when I’d sit down and we could hold eye contact with eachother really well (although I had little gay panics sometimes when this happened). Also, they don’t usually call as they’re pretty introverted, but they occasionally called me, once for six hours at a time. When I told them that I liked them, a few days before the year ended, they kind of rejected me, I couldn’t tell. They asked if it had been “eating you up” and went “aww”, and they didn’t give a “I do/don’t like you back” but they did start holding my hand more often. And some people say that it gets extremely awkward when you’re rejected to the point that it ruins friendships, and yet me and this person are still friends, and there wasn’t even a hint of awkwardness. My crush faded over the summer because we didn’t talk that much, but now I’m wondering if it’s going to come back. They haven’t gotten their schedule yet. If we have some classes together then I’ll find out if I’ve really moved on from my crush or not. And maybe if I haven’t, it’ll go better.

Things turned out awkward with my previous crush back in 2016, I used to message her daily asking her how she's and sending her positive quotes and sometimes jokes, she loved it and always messaged me back, one day she asked me out for a coffee, it went ok, she was looking at me a lot and touched me multiple times, she also played a lot with her hair, I was so happy and thought she was gonna say something, but boy she didn't, after that the messaging continued until one day, I invited her to my home for lunch, her reply was strange, she told me that she's gonna be away with her boyfriend, this is the first time she ever mentions her having boyfriend and that made me wonder if she knew of my feelings towards her and wanted to push me away, needless to say I felt like a huge rock just fell on me, since then she started to ignore my messages and if she replys she says she's so busy and couldn't reply, I eventually told her that I won't be bothering her again, she told me I wasn't but that was my last message to her, not gonna lie that kinda left me with an emotional scar to this day, even tho I now have another crush "My teacher at university", I'm now very careful with my behaviour towards her and not trying to look suspicious. I think these are pretty good but only if the woman you crush on is 1) already close to you 2) extroverted. I know that for myself as an introvert and shy lesbian I don't become touchy feely with a crush, I blush, I panic if she accidentally touches my hand, I steal glances at her without her noticing (or at least I try), I do act differently toward her than other people (I smile more, I feel like my eyes smile too, like if I had stars in them, etc) and yeah these are I suppose not easy signs to spot.

Ok I need advices. There's this girl that I am friends with and I think (hope) that she might like me... Here are the signs I am basing my theory on :
1 )She complemented me on my new hair cut she said "This really suits you" and I felt like she was looking at me with the funny look, like THE look
2) She only had one boyfriend and said that it only lasted a month (the way she said it made me think that she wasn't really interested in dating guys)
What makes me hesitate :
1) We don't really talk by text... only IRL
2) I never asked her if she liked girls (mainly because I am scared of her reaction)
3) She could just be friendly ?
What do you guys think ? Like she is sooo beautiful but I don't want to lose her as a friend by asking her out...
Should I ask more questions ? Like what type of questions ?
PS : she doesn't know I'm gay

I'm a quiet kid at school, I have no friends (literally, not exaggeration). This girl in my English started talking to me recently, and persistently, like she was trying to be my friend. She's very pretty as well. We were doing a book assignment, and she showed me her book and said something along the lines of "I can't write a summary on this in class because it's a book about two lesbians." And idk if that was her trying to tell me something 😭. Another day she asked for my instagram and spotify.
Idk why she would want to be my friend, and idk if she wants to be more and why.
+ We did a group assignment, and the desks were arranged into groups of three. I sat in the back next to some random guy. She came and sat in the last seat at our group, even though she does have a friend she talks to she could've sat by.

This video is perfect for me!! I have a crush on my best friend. We go to school together and just to be weird and annoy the homophobes at our school we would walk around holding hands. But it started becoming more and more frequent to the point that whenever we were walking about campus whether it was before class during lunch during passing periods we would be holding hands. And i would make little jokes about how it’s totally platonic but every time she would respond with “no it’s not” and i never though anything of it i just thought it was a joke. But after watching this i’m seriously considering that she might have a crush on me and like i’m so happy if she does because she’s so sweet and she just makes me so happy!

I agree with all of this except the asking directly...it can be "simpler" but also it can end BAD, if she is a friend or close friend it becomes a nightmare afterward, they can change the way they act around you, feel stiff if you around you, start double guessing your normal routines or traditions ( over reading romantic intent behind everything). Like if they were comfortable hugging or just playing around it will probably get cut off. AND this has happened to me several times, and for me is the worse: they start overthinking everything you do or have done with or for them. It is even worse when they treat you like some basic horny dude, like oh all the nice things you do for me are because you want to get laid with me, when NO, you genuinely did them because you felt like it, you just thought about them, no silly sketchy ulterior motives .... :( #SorrYNeededToGetItOut

Things like this are why I make it clear that I'm aro/ace to my friends (LGBT+ or not), because I never want to be in a situation where someone is into me romantically but is too scared to tell me out of fear of this sort of thing happening. Everything that we do together is always going to be platonic, whether or not they are into me, and that will never change. I don't expect people to develop a crush on me, but I do worry that if they were to, my rejecting would inadvertently taint our friendship. I wouldn't just cut all physical contact, because I wouldn't have viewed it as romantic to begin with. But I'm scared of being too harsh, of hurting their feelings, of causing some kind of rift between us, without meaning to.

There used to be a girl that I really liked when I was in year 4. I hated her at first bc she was always hanging out with my best friend, but then her and I became really close. She always used to hug me and call me cute. I acted like as if I didn’t like it but in reality I did. She would always cuddle with me anywhere we went. But she changed in year 5. She stopped hanging out with me but we were still friends, just not as close. In year 6 she started hugging me again but due to Covid my school had to shut down and I never got to see her again. She would also tell me so much abt lgbt during pe lessons whenever I’m benched. She was rlly into lgbt and she would ask me if I was gay but I didn’t wanna tell her. She said that it was okay if I was but I still denied. I couldn’t really tell if she liked me back or was just being too nice.

My best friend girl crush just straight up told me she was lesbian right after I told her I was 😁
I just realized from this video that my crush last year might’ve liked me back but felt afraid to say it because although they were drifting apart and I don’t know if they liked eachother anymore, they technically had a girlfriend. They always held my hand and laid their head down on me when I’d sit down and we could hold eye contact with eachother really well (although I had little gay panics sometimes when this happened). Also, they don’t usually call as they’re pretty introverted, but they occasionally called me, once for six hours at a time. When I told them that I liked them, a few days before the year ended, they kind of rejected me, I couldn’t tell. They asked if it had been “eating you up” and went “aww”, and they didn’t give a “I do/don’t like you back” but they did start holding my hand more often. And some people say that it gets extremely awkward when you’re rejected to the point that it ruins friendships, and yet me and this person are still friends, and there wasn’t even a hint of awkwardness.
My crush faded over the summer because we didn’t talk that much, but now I’m wondering if it’s going to come back. They haven’t gotten their schedule yet. If we have some classes together then I’ll find out if I’ve really moved on from my crush or not. And maybe if I haven’t, it’ll go better.

Theyre always texting me, and is always complimenting my outfits and everything that i post. plus theyre super nice to me. Idk. We even joked about marrying if we're both still single when we're forty years old. I like her, and I think she knows, but I never specifically said to her that I'm interested and part of me is terrified that our friendship will end if I tell her...
