KH3 was a badly presented, weakly written and underwhelming game. Your critique applys to almost every AAA game in the industry, KH3 shouldnt be such an outlier
KH3 has the dubious honor of having like 6 "side" games for every portable Nintendo and Playstation system released between the PS2 through PS4, which are for some reason required to understand a game that uses the number convention of 1, 2, and 3. It's unfortunate that while the AAA industry has these problems as a whole, there was entirely too much hype this particular franchise brought to the forefront and then failed to deliver on.
@scorcoz I still don't understand why they changed art direction for the game. The KH remasters look beautiful and glorious, the KH3 character models look like clay figures.
Definitely far from “weakly written” lol but for sure had some hiccups(remind fix it for me thankfully) but nonetheless I still loved the game anyway myself 💙 hopefully they can improve 4 and onwards
Honestly what ruined it was the combat. You seeing the ride summon and you think it would happen one boss like encounter, not every encounter becoming this. Like I’m not playing the game to be slapped in the face to eventually have a ticket purchased to Disneyland. This is what seemed like the goal and ended up stopping somewhere along the way because the combat became boring and ended up trying the hardest to avoiding summoning the attack rides. You think you would be about to switch into a form and then that prompt changes and you’re summoning a ship, train, or merry-g0-round. I’d watch others but suffering that combat wasn’t for me.
Definitely KH3's biggest problem was overshowing nearly EVERYTHING. I remember people theorizing the "FINAL TRAILER" was going to be midway through the gane lol nope. Showing less shows more.
The fact that they took all of the fans overwhelmingly negative criticism, specifically for lack of polish and detail and lack of a good plot with a cohesive ending with proper fleshed out character interaction, then proceeded to make a 30$ (yes half the price of the base game) DLC to "fix" the issues is the greatest slap in the face as a long time fan.
I think 30$ is a bit too much they could put down the price to 20$ but It had a Lot of content like the remind episode, data battles, secret episode and some pretty cool aditions and fixes, its a good DLC but i dont It should be 30$
@@yderga8707well Square enix been doing this since kh 1 remember the final mix versions? Data battles and other secrets and cool new stuff that changed the game weren't added in the vannila khs until the final mix version came along, remind is like this, its a Ton of things that changed kh3 vanila not Just the episodes and data battles, Square being Square as usual

Honestly i liked the game but yeah it was lacking alot story wise, voice acting in Is crucial parts and The advertising really showed way too much of the game. But The dlc really kind of brought the game back up a bit. That was pretty good Especially Making critical mode feel like critical mode and Adding more Optional boss fights

What do you think about the data battles though. They were incredible but the rest of the game is awful.

I prefer the original Kingdom Hearts for PS3, plus the original Final Fantasy versus 13 instead of 3 horrible Final Fantasy 13 games.
Well Versus 13 was turned into 15, KH13 with lightning has nothing to do with versus.
I thoroughly enjoyed KH3, still do. The hate is understandable but was and is my favorite entry into the series
