Hi Andrew, Yes indeed the Italian series is a winner, loved it all, all fabulous! You're the draw, & Dougal, the two of you together pn your ongoing life adventure, fantastic! It's your take on the world around you, Italy in this case, from meal preparation to Dougal chasing his tennis ball! Hey congratulations on hitting 26K+ TH-cam Subscribers!! Thank you Andrew, you Sir are the best!!💞👬🇬🇧🇺🇸🍜🍵🌈🍩🍌🌋😘😘
It is always great to watch you and Dougal out and about enjoying yourselves. The food looked amazing too . We have just retuned from the Highlands and I was in the same boat as you, trying not to cry !!!!! To cheer myself up I re watched you and Dougal going to the Temple Cafe on the Triumph :D Thanks for sharing :D Teddy
First class Vlog Andrew - they don't come better than this. Superb content - scenery and music. Enjoyed watching and will probably do so several times. :-)
I've watched this series and Go with the Vlow god knows how many times. I think they're brilliant and hope to do similar trips one day. These blogs are done so well because when you watch them, you feel like you're there as well. Right, now for a rerun of Scotvlog 😀
This is my first comment on your channel. I enjoy every video you post, but this has been so far the best of the best!. And believe me, you never travel alone, Dougal is always by your side!, as I never travel alone, since I do it with my caravan and five dogs, YES! five dogs, so lucky as yours. Already looking forward to your next post!!
I’ve enjoyed following your adventures. I tell myself that the end of one trip is really just the beginning of the next so I won’t feel so let down. Your advice that it’s better to go on a trip alone than not go at all (or go with someone not compatible) rings true for me, although I sometimes wish for a good travel companion. Thanks for sharing your trip!
Beautiful series! Seemed like the Etrusco was a great fit for this journey. Your Pisa video brought back so many fun memories of my visit to Italy 10 years ago. Hate to see your tears at the end. There’s always a new journey or project to look forward to in the future. Take heart!
Another great video Andrew. I used to be a truck driver , and have traveled the route to Trento and up to Bolzano many times! . Only I used to have to use the train at the end of your video to transit Austria. My wife and I would very much like to get a motor home and travel Europe at our leisure . Keep up the good work ! Regards Andy.
It's just amazing what can be found on TH-cam. Great story line, fantastic videography, superb editing. A little dog and his buddy traveling the world. Hope you can bring us along on another road-trip. Thanks.
No, you are not the only one that clenches when one sees a motorcyclist riding without the proper gear. As a fellow motorcyclist, you decide early on that you will embrace All The Gear - All The Time (ATGATT) or not. Thanks for the cooking segments and vegan example you have shared. Since watching your channel (2-3 years), my meat consumption has dropped from 70% down to 10%. The video recap of the tour was well done and a reminder that smaller villages are the way to go for great travel experiences. All the Best...
Cheers Anthony. I'm no great cook but, like everything, I like to keep it as simple as possible. Not to mention a cheapskate as it's far less expensive to eat this way! ;@)
I loved this one. Arco is a great little city. It used to have a marvelous Gelateria n the center. My friends and I did a lot of rockclimbing in the Arco area. Nice to watch it on the video.
Really enjoyed escape to Italy in your video as we are staying within 5k radius of home for Covid lockdown here in Ireland. Beautiful scenery. Have been watching your Scottish videos too and they're pure escapism so Thank you Andrew🥰 stay safe and well ☘️
Hi andrew, Just drove to europe for the first time summer and loved it and thinking of renting a campervan. Your videos are helping me alot. I myself edit videos and i know how hard it is to shoot/store files while on holiday then edit videos. It is hard work . Just want to appreciate your efforts on making the videos. I can see alot of effort is put into it. Hope your channels explode even more. Keep it up and goodluck
Love your road trips ...so full of adventure and nice campsites..friends that come along are great...Dougal is a hoot!...just great videos. Thanks for sharing with us. Safe travels!
I’m not sure... but this may be the first time you have shown how you empty your grey tanks over there... Interesting! Here it’s a much more complicated process! Color me impressed! Great video also! Looking forward to more!
Great vlog as usual. Did wonder whether you were a little concerned about those trucks due to the width of the Etrusco? Really must get round to selling our Hymer (only E45K) getting a van conversion & motor homing again. Rainy season has just begun Entre Deux Mers where we live. Only ever camped in UK & France so time for some adventuring again. Thanks, Roger
Lovely video, love this area, my wife and I once had a road trip to lake Garda from Frankfurt, the drive over the alps was amazing, and our few days in Italy was so memorable. Even better in a 2 seat convertible, rain in Germany / Austria and 30° in Italy
Great vlog, great series! Thank you for taking us along😍 You're such a confident driver, wish I shared your confidence. Would love to do a trip like this someday.
An emotional end to a fantastic series. They really know how to cater for the traveler in Italy, a true Welcome Break. I’m certain it’s fair to say you’ll be returning again in the not too distant future.
Hi Andrew, I might have made this comment on an earlier vid, but I have really really enjoyed this series. I hope Dougal didn’t hear you say that you travelled alone 🙀. Looking forward to the MH review, big 👍
Your never alone when you have a dog 😃 I’ve just got our new van (it’s in our latest vid) thanks for all your vids they helped a lot Best regards Dave, Jo and Louie 👍😀🐾
Thanks for another great series of vlogs Andrew. Italy is now on my ‘must see’ list. Looking forward to the van review and hope Estrusco are at the NEC.
Cheers Janet! The vans don't arrive in the UK until the end of October so you need to subscribe to the social media channels where you'll find out about dealer shows.
...and along w Dougal and friends to travel with (or not), don't forget a scooter could bring much mobility and sightseeing around. In general. Around. Mobile. And Shawna and you looked a wonder pair if I might say. I'm not giving up 😀. You can't deny the functionality , can you? Scooters I mean. And btw, BP/ARCO (Brit. Petrol/Atlantic Richfield Co.) merged a while ago in the USA. So your headline "ARCO" made me think of a petrol station....which I used to work for as a junior.
That would be amazing Pat... maybe with a splash of Croatia too? But I'd miss my family and also a man has gotta work. Yes, this is work... I keep having to remind myself! ;@)
Hi Andrew shame it as to come to a end u done well over there the views were sunning and the filming was spot on look forward to review of motorhome have a safe journey bak to UK all the best .kev
Great set of vlogs as usual Andrew. You call that work .the right sort of emotions I just get a little angry. Still never been to Italy. May have to wait until I retire though
Don't cry for Italia Andrew. Learn to make Gnocchi instead! It's incredibly easy! Just flour, mashed potato, pinch of salt. Leave out the egg for vegan and Presto! Gnocchi! Touch of water if you need to bring it together depending how much moisture is in the potato. Easy peasy lemon sqeezy. Italy !😙😙💜
There are great service stations in Europe and Northern Ireland is years behind , I really wish we could come up to standard with the rest of the world, Ooh, what an amazing area beautiful motor home, great videos, thank you
Same with the rest of the UK John, although one could argue that they are at least free of charge (if you forget about Vehicle Excise Duty, fuel duty, etc!)
your eyes are too close to your kidney's, as my dear mother use to say. I have the same problem and was in tears as you were! That is a Great Van, Great Tour, and.....as always, You and Dougall!
Absolutely beautiful country and you can see why they have good roads (you get what you pay for). It looks quite expensive though if you take into account, train or boat to get over to Europe. And then the diesel, tolls and campsite fees. Phew 😅. One day when I’ve saved up ....... 😉
Spot on in every respect Teresa! Except the cost of food in most restaurants. That one in this video was particularly spendy - at the pizzeria in Pisa, James and I had pizza, drinks, and coffees and that was €25 for the two.
It would be nice if you revived your cooking videos :) The adventures never end with you and Dougal. Lovely video series. Keep it up Andrew. Kiss and hug Dougal for me!
Great series Andrew. Italy is one of the places I’ve been afraid of visiting because of the reputation of the drivers. Watching these has made me want to go now. So thanks. Can you do Poland next? 😏😆 another place I’d like to go but again a bit worried about the roads. I worry a lot. 🙄

Thank you for a another brill film. Nice to see Dougal took his blanket along on the trip. Juliet and Phil

Cheers, thanks for joining us!
Beautiful! I completely agree with you, company is nice at times but I love being solo. 💜
What an awesome trip. Thanks for sharing.
You aren't alone in imagining the carnage of an improperly dressed motorcyclist.

You are never on your own Andrew you have all of us!
Wonderful vlog as always, gorgeous scenery, delicious looking vegan food, and you two. The perfect antidote to a busy week at work.
I loved this one. Arco is a great little city. It used to have a marvelous Gelateria n the center. My friends and I did a lot of rockclimbing in the Arco area. Nice to watch it on the video.

Amazing series! You've given us a great view of Italy and Etrusco. Very excited to see what you do next. 👍👍👍
Great series! Thank you. I’m just back from a 4 week trip to France & Switzerland and will start editing my video soon.
I really really liked this series and am very looking forward to the van review. Thanks again for all your efforts you put into your channel.

Superb video to end your adventure. I understand the emotion. Felt that way this weekend, traveling back from a holiday in Somerset.
Love the video, as always. Waiting for your review of the motorhome. Peter

Amazing lovely video to finish the trip to Italy! I want to go with my dog too!
Stunning! But hoped to see more of Arco, my sister lives there
You've sold Italy to me. Thanks for showing us some of this beautiful country 👍😃🇮🇹
Love all your vlogs Andrew and it would make my day to see you and dougal on site one time 👍👍
Well, it's difficult to miss us if we're on site - the Airstream is a bit obvious ;@) Hopefully see you one day.

Would love to see that Campervan in the USA... and beautiful scenery.
Enjoyed the vids thanks. Getting a campervan soon. Done the Alps and the Picos on a motorbike, looking forward to a different experience in the van.
It'll certainly be drier! Hope you can still take the bike in the back.
@@andrewjditton Sold it to finance the campervan. I've done the motorbike thing, time for a new experience!
Really, really enjoyed the series Andrew - fantastic 👍🏻
Cheers Mark!
Great series of videos! I'm also sorry they are coming to an end, I loved seeing the countryside from across the other side of the world :)
Thanks for another great series of vlogs Andrew. Italy is now on my ‘must see’ list. Looking forward to the van review and hope Estrusco are at the NEC.

In the UK, Arco is a brand of work safety wear! :)
Andrew...just a thought...half the year in Italy...half the year in the Outer Hebrides? :-)
That would be amazing Pat... maybe with a splash of Croatia too? But I'd miss my family and also a man has gotta work. Yes, this is work... I keep having to remind myself! ;@)

I enjoyed the ride

Wicked series of blogs
Cheers Darren!
It would be nice if you revived your cooking videos :)
The adventures never end with you and Dougal. Lovely video series. Keep it up Andrew. Kiss and hug Dougal for me!
...that might encourage me to expand my repartee! Time is my enemy right now. If I can I shall do a few more.
Cement mixer one side a mountain on the other - definitely caught between a rock and a hard place!
BOOM! BOOM! Nice one :)
Every trip has to come to an end unfortunately. 🙁 Looking forward to the next one...😀
Mmm...Poland.... :)
Bravissimo Andrew! Non vedo l'ora di ritornare in Italia! Abbracci.
Grazie! :)
..and forget dropping of Dougal at your mum's house when you need a few free days. Drop him off w James! Those two are buddies forever!
And how was the Arco Bed Cam Ping and Roman Legion Soldier grape vinyard? And I did see some Italian liberated perhaps grapes in a lunch bowl?!?!?!
Ha ha! No, they were legitimately purchased down the road :)
Absolutely truly stunning
Best wishes to you all
😊😊🐕🌟👍🚐💜
I'm not sure why are TH-cam stopped giving me your updates
even know I've got the bell clicked
and subscribe
I'm going to catch up on your travels thank you for sharing
Best wishes 🌟🌟🌟🙏🌟🌟🌟
I would love to do a trip like that on my own, not sure the wife would approve though! Looking forward to the full motorhome review.
LOL - Just tell her you're popping out for some Italian food. If she notices you gone after a few days it shows she cares!
Geo will give that a go 😂
You've sold Italy to me for all the reasons that you have shown 👍😃
Bueno! :)
Bellissima!!
Great video , would like to visit the lake Garda area , on the motorway service area ,can you sleep overnight if you arrive late then carry on first thing in the morning ?
I can't see why not, there were no signs forbidding that. Naturally you have to be sure it's safe enough for you.
Hi Andrew, Another great Vid, thanks. Just one question do you prefer the size of this low profile coach built over the recent panel vans you have tested? I know everything is connected but merely interested on your thoughts on the size? cheers willie
I have to say that in this instance it worked better, as I appreciated the extra internal space, and while I had to skip a couple of mountain passes because of the width, that was a small price to pay. But I'm used to shed-dragging and not too phased by bigger vans.
I could keep you company on your next trip. I could bring my Victoria Wood dvd collection and I’m vegan, so that’s two boxes ticked.
I'm sure you just want to whizz down the motorway watching Whistle Down the Wind on a reclining toilet...
Any good euro guides to find stops of that quality?
The only website you need is this one - enjoy! www.vicarious-shop.com/
👍👍👍
you are a bit like me i am a bit like that also
11/10.
About the campsites on lake Garda.....we went on one a few years ago…….we were in a big tent…..they were packed in like sardines in a tin…..not much privacy as we were on our honeymoon !!!!….but all camp sites are getting like that now…..just to make money,. It also makes me cringe when I see motorcyclist just wearing shorts and a t-shirt...many moons ago I was with the St.Johns Ambulance….and on many occasion we had to scrape these poor guys up of the tarmac…..not a very nice sight at times.
Where is ur cute 🐕 ...
You need a lady friend Andrew, a Mrs Ditton to go on these trips 😉
Actually, I do enjoy showing the millions of single people that being solo need not stop you from living life to the full! And there is no way I'd want to take my mother with me... ;@)
A Mrs Ditton, as in Mrs Andrew Ditton, as in the wife
During the summer I saw so many young men riding in shorts and t-shirt and one in just shorts!! I first thought is always that's going to really hurt. I know it's hot bla bla buy surly safety comes first
Veganima like anima (soul) vegan pronunciation vegànima
Grazie!
Agreat video thanks. I too cringe when I see motorcyclists improperly dressed. As a holiday rep in Greece I have accompanied many people to A and E to watch gravel being scraped out of skinned arms, backs and thighs.
Euuw! I had friends who were reps... and I know what the reality of that job is. Still, Greece is beautiful :)
