Something went very wrong, causing her death. This may be tied to the story of Pandora's box, where pandora got too curious and unleashed bad things onto the world.

Guy Fawkes is also held in New Zealand, although being able to buy fireworks is being made impossible by the government and trying to stick to public displays is suggested. This is because of animals being affected, stupidity when lighting them resulting in serious injuries. Although the British colonised New Zealand, I don’t see why we should celebrate guy fawkes when it happened in another country over 200 years ago - it’s also a waste of money - really expensive to buy them
Katniss - Derived from the botanical name for the arrowhead plant, Sagittaria, which means archer or hunter; Katniss hunts to feed her family, being adept with archery. Panem - Taken from "panem et circenses," a Roman term that translates to "bread and circuses(or games)," which refers to gaining public approval through cheap methods that are meant to distract people from issues rather than put in the effort to fix anything; the Hunger Games have become a sort of sporting event for the districts, despite having originally been a punishment in light of district thirteen's failed rebellion.

Another perhaps un-founded theory for the last name Pettigrew could be translated as the "pet that grew''. As seen in the Prisoner of Azkaban, Peter, being the Animagus that he was, eventually grew(transfigured) from his pet rat form Scabbers, into his human form Peter Pettigrew, hence the name.

For the Fred and George one, Frederik (who JK refers to) is Frederik, Prince of Wales, who died before he became King. When Fredrick’s father died, Frederick’s son, George became King George III of Great Britain.
Seeing as Kingsley is a British character, I don’t think his name would only be referring to America, especially since the majority of black slaves went to Brazil, the Caribbean, South America, and of course, were enslaved in Africa and still are today.
Percival = To Peirce the Blade and was one of King Arthur's best knights, remembered for his quest for the Holy Grail. Wulfric = Wolf Power/Ruler, it's Medieval form 'Ulric' was worn by earl and a saint. Brian = High and Noble, symbolising virtue and strength.

Brian = High and Noble, symbolising virtue and strength.
There’s a strange coincidence that Harry Potter name was in the first troll movie
Lupin also used Romulus as a nickname in the 7th book. I’m
Surprised this wasn’t mentioned in the video
In the language pali, the word naga

Crookshanks is the final revealed name in Charades. Audry Hepburn and Cary Grant movie.
This adds a whole new layer to the magic.
Wait wait wait wait WAIT! You don’t get away with only Albus Dumbledore! You wanna go deep into meanings.. go through All of them 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I sure knew what Riddle meant for a while.
Absolutely AMAZING 🤩!!!! Some of these I knew not many though. I was curious about the dumbledore's pet Fawkes. I knew the history of Guy Fawkes in Britain. But it makes sense that she did that. JK Rowling is very well read kind of like a bookworm just like Hermione. I found her name quite fascinating. I wonder what Joanna means for that matter Rowling?
Amazing.
I've always been very intrigued by etymology. I really like the name Albus, Rubeus and Lucious.
Good video! I'd love a similar video on The Hunger Games, since those names also have deeper meanings (with many being derived from similar source material to Harry Potter).
"Yikes to whoever that was" had me laughing so hard 🤣
13:28 How did you miss it.
Dolor in Spanish and Latin meams PAIN, and you can absolutely say she is a pin.
Even more so, dolores, is it's plural in Spanish.
one thing i really love about draco's name's is that the chinese fandom describe draco as "he is the dusk that cannot fall to night nor a dawn that can shine up bright" referencing the constellation's position in the sky and draco's character in the story, a person who is never actually evil yet also cannot truly turn good, it is just so 'chef's kiss', it's referenced in several draco based videos in bilibili

I’m sure you noticed this but I jus thought of how when in the order of the phoenix movie (not sure about the book) most of some of the most powerful wizards in the world are at the ministry when all the ministry employees weren’t their lol
