Great review mate. I intend to get this guy and Trailbreaker at A.A this year. Who knows, since they've been out a while now they may be cheap like Ironhide and Ratchet were last year (but I doubt it) fantastic review as always mate
@gaq17 Jen! How delightful to hear from you again. I hope all is well. There is something timeless about the G1 figures that for me, will always make them no.1 in my collecting desire category. Although the few Animated figures I have are very nice, between the two, I would still go G1 any day of the week. Lol.
awesome review as always dude, Hoist is a great figure but one thing ive noticed the stickers on his shoulders are identical to g1 trailblazers ones. i saw the rotf hoist but i'm put off by the re paint mix master and the goofy head mold :P
@Eucep Hi Marc. The many loose parts thing is a problem for many of the early G1's. The seekers can be accused of having the same problem. Jetfire is another one, as well as Omega Supreme. The list could go on and on.
The only thing I dislike on him is the fact that there are so many loose parts. He is in fact one of the few G1's I have too, though mine is a commemorative reissue. A good review of him.
@exillionXLR Hey Brad. I remember having Hoist as a kid (although I admit, I would have like Trailbreaker also), and I adored the figure even back then. The alt mode and the robot mode suggest a lot more love and attention went into the very early G1 releases. Thanks for the kind words bro.
@rick4777 Well, trying to find any boxes that are suitable is not always an easy thing to do. I try to pick up boxes where ever possible. I am hoping at AA2010 there might be someone who ca help me out with that. I am even keeping the boxes for the newer figures like Animated and RotF. Although these latter ones are harder to keep tidy. Lol.
@sidejays I am unsure about the RotF Hoist in general. I mean, the figures from that line I do own are ok, but kinda Meh at the same time. As I said in the review, if in doubt, check out the original source material. Lol.
Well, the Nest line looks very good. Bludgeon is awesome and Mindwipe is very nice (they might be the best figures in the entire movie line). ROTF Hoist looks very simple in robot mode, his best mode is defenitely his vehicle mode.
@wesneedshelp Hey Wes! Havent heard from you in a while. My advice would be to pick him up. Although he is a repaint and remould of Trailbreaker, that doesn't detract in any way from the figure. You will be pleased to know that I have all the minibots now, so I would love to do another collaboration video with you soon man.
This is the best Hoist review I´ve ever seen, very well done man. ROTF Hoist looks very nice too, but it´s not the same.
One of my favorite characters ( british accenr and epic head)
very nice video my friend keep up the good work and hang in there
i like his robot mode
Crackin detailed review Gerard!! Always enjoy ur vids. 5*
Awesome condition hoist Gerrard mate. Never actually seen one of those badboys in the skin so found this very interesting. Top review pal!

rick4777 cheers. Wow. This one is a few years old now. Lol
Cool. Yeah, I remember that head sculpt fondly. :o)
It's a classic.

Great review, keep it up
@MrSkywarp My original one was eventually consumed by time and over play. So as you can imagine now, i'm very VERY careful. Lol.
@arlocon Thanks for the kind words man. Glad you enjoyed.
@TorchwoodBelfast His robot mode is slightly clunky looking, but I love him!

@dwarfpornstar666 Hey Jonny thanks man. I wasn't sure if I was in the mood to do it right. lOl
@zizzlerizzle8707 Thanks for the kind words Zack.
@BigGigantos Oooohhhh... I look forward to it. :)
@transfan1988 I was thinking about getting RotF Hoist, but I haven't been overly impressed with that line as a whole.
@DavidPrime83 Thanks David.
@GraemeK310 Thanks Graeme. Much appreciated.
@JurassicCollectables I shall of course, do my best. I wouldn't want to let anyone down here now would I? Lol.
@knowlsy00 Will do man. Thanks.
