I like that fact that the mother needs to be alive for the taming to work it adds more fun to it and stops any monsters from just killing the mother to get to the baby 😂
Ounce you get a grown one. You can use it to automatically imprint on bby after mommy is killed. Yw

Hey Steve, the easiest way to tame is trap the parent near the nest and you will be able to tame it unbothered no ghillie, eggs or anything needed. I have already tamed 5 babies on official 1x. Only thing that might be an issue is official and pillars but simple boat trap with gateways makes it ez.
He is known of tutorials that makes everything harder and sometimes wrong like with ryniogatha.
@sajuente8235 nothing harder about trapping. You can walk it in a trap & get the baby with no issue

Just trap with billboards
I just put behemoth gates around the nest and it was super easy. Didn't have to worry about anything getting in, including parent. Then pick gates back up when done.

Great video Steve. I haven’t played Ark in a couple of weeks, I’ve gotten rather bored of it. I’ve been in Smalland but this has me curious. I might return just to check this spawn out.

I just leave my rhynio flying above parent after agroing it and get in nest. No egg or trap required

Trap the parent much much easier nothing but gates and doors needed

If you have more than one tribe mate all you need to do is use Rhynios. One person runs up and gets the parents aggro, then pin it in with the rhynios (two people on Rhynios, can work with one person on rhynio) then the other goes into the nest and does the mini game. No eggs, no ghillie, no traps needed!

If you tame at least one Gigantoraptor. You can claim wild babies while riding your own even if you kill the wild parent if you use the roar albeit at a lower efficiency

Makes no sense. Are you saying wyv nest and deino nest and magma nest r hatcheries to and don't forget the Griffen nest that r empty on crystal. Do any of these cook eggs and before you answer make sure u tested it with high and low temp eggs. Don't want u having vulcano cookies one and claim it nest. The best is for u to hide in n play with baby it serves that point child
It does incubate eggs for you, but it doesn’t allow you to read the egg’s stats

What a cool creature. This is all I wanted from an updated Ark/Ark 2: more cool dinos to tame and explore with. Some of the mod dinos are neat, but hardly any of them are the quality of Garuga. Thought we'd see more dinos that were requested from the creature votes.

You can also tame other babies while riding a giga raptor. You can kill the parent, too. But you must be mounted when claiming the baby.
Only poss problem is getting fert giga eggs in 1st place could argue you wouldn’t need big bird if you are already at that level

Also spawns by swamps n red wood river n by red ob from server reports. Server also says unfert eggs work

Billboards trap works fine.
Don’t need eggs. Just tank the mother and trap in billboards. Leave render and come back and sit in the nest and tame the baby.
and when they patch it so you cannot trap it?

Then do it the way your meant to. But right now you can trap it and sit in nest just doing continual imprints every 20 seconds
The reason it's a mod rather than being part of the base game is so that they can patch things really quickly so i don't think it will take that long

@@NOOBLETSWildcard patching things? HAHAHAHAhaahahahaha........ there are hundreds of bugs in ASE that haven't been patched in 7+ years. Even if they do patch this specific method, they'll find easier ways around it.

I still haven't got ASA, it's on sale right now but I'm not sure if I should get it, main reason is I don't really want to support snail games but also I don't think the game will even took very good if I'm going to get 60 fps. I've got an rx 6800 and a 1440 p monitor, from what I can tell low settings would be like 50 fps. Anyone have any thoughts?
I was playing today on the island and ran into a nest at the green obelisk I shot the adult one time with a tranq dart and it fell through the crack and all the way to the water, then I just tamed the baby and was all fine no armor or anything 😂😂
Can you bait the mom into a trap with a pile of eggs and just keep playing with the baby? Have you tried or anyone tried this?

Do only Giga eggs and carcha eggs work? Are those the highest slash longest distraction. Will Rex eggs work?
Rex eggs will work however you might need to feed it more than one egg as smaller eggs run out quicker. Most fertilised eggs work but the smaller the egg, the quicker they run out.

A gigaraptors can also steal a gigaraptor baby if the parent is dead bte
bro you can trap the gigaraptor mother it metal bildboard and trap i try and i tame a lots it out eggs

I have a problem where the baby walks over to me turns its head side ways and just walks away
during your video i instantly thought, how long before the meta is trap the mum and imprint baby in one go lol
Zyntac already done that.
Both trapping the parent and trapping the baby are also worked too.
And if you already have gigaraptor, you can just kill the parent and claim the baby directly. No need emote prompt taming.

Is the ark ascended on everything already?
I put gates around the nest and trapped the baby in the nest with me. Easy, protected from parent and all others.
Don’t need to do the get egg bit. Can lure the parents out and put in it a trap and go to the baby. 🤷🏻♂️
also once you tamed one you then can use the tamed nanny raptor to kill the parents and while on the nanny raptor can take the baby without doing that whole emote dancing thing.

Just leave a flyer hovering over parent after getting agro and get in nest. I tame them with no eggs or traps

Kind of a cool creature I guess, looks really tedious to tame though. Would be good for perfectionist breeders but most people play on unofficial servers which wipe periodically anyway.

half the gigantoraptors I have seen don't spawn with nests even. And those that do spawned with bugged nests where no matter what you do the baby does nothing while the mother is eating the egg.

I like how ppl grief each other on official pve with killing the mother or luring smth to the nest while ur on it or steal eggs, they should've put some prevention of that in place

I really wouldn't bother with using/wasting eggs, just build a simple cheap trap closeish to the nest, trap the parent and just stay in the nest. Just make sure parent isnt aggro ed, simples
