The best creatures to use seem to be carcharodontosaurs/gigas, the higher the drag weight, the better the stats on the baby, and the baby rhynios take traits from the parents, so if you have maxed out mutated carcharodontos, the rhynio can have 250+ mutations into certain stats, you can also trap and re-use the wild parents with behemoth gate ways
Nah brontosaurus are best same weight class and are easier to breed and mutate

@@vascomassapina9014 true but seemingly the effect caps out with the giggas and carchs from the tests i have seen though we won't know for sure until some modder checks the code

Taming doesn’t sound so hard but FINDING this thing is impossible. The spawn is brutal

and the cravings are a bit tricky
I found one but that is only half the battle since you need two of them before you even consider getting one
I found one a female but hesitated because I didn’t know if the females gave you the pheromone and it disappeared
OK, seeing massive creature shrink in the Maewing baskets is ALWAYS funny
wildcard really needs to up the spawnrates on these, half the time they kill themselves by aggroing onto something too though managarmr-style
Wildcard needs to up its spawn chance, having it have a reaper-like mechanic where you have to kill one and have to find an other is heavily contradicted by its abysmal spawn rate. Feels like it’s way worse than Phoenix and really ruins the hope of getting one.
Haven't playing ark in months but I still enjoy watching your videos.
IMPORTANT: have the cravings ready. yes, this includes giga eggs, carchar eggs, even a golden hesperornis egg, and resources such as element, achatina paste and absorbent substrate. it can also ask for crafted foods, such as kibble, stews, battle tartar, shadow stake and more. if you have them ready, the chance you get all the cravings is much higher.
USE:
bronto
giga
carch
megachelon maybe?
the higher the drag wieght, the better the rhynio can take over parent stats.
use mutated gigas or carches if you have them, they can take over the 254 stats
use behe gates to trap it and reuse one female, so you dont have to look for more
net it when u lower its hp, it wont fly side to side and make it harder to kill it by accident

this creature is the equivelance of the MK2 flying bike in gta online, aka made for skilless players who cant adapt to the game's mechanics and need any freebie they can get. due to lack of skill.

Personally, this is going to help me to quicken my playthrough on our evolved private server with a friend before they shut those down too. Any help will be needed. Island, Scorched Earth, Lost Island, Fjordur bosses all completed. Still need to do Aberration, Extinction, and both parts of Genesis

The metal dino gates worked for me every time, you have to place to where there are no gaps but enough gap for you to hit it and remove gate when its below health for impregnation, and its able to fly out and attack and impregnate the dino, then I netted and proceeded to trap it in the metal dino gates again. It can escape if there is a large gap around where its back is so make sure to place them round the head/front legs, chest, and abdomen a little bit above the tail. It has worked for me and I impregnated 8 dinos

7:31 this is the moment the quetzal died horribly with a nuke dropped on it's fat head... hopefully older creatures stay revelant in ark 2, cuz a lot from the first game just become irrevelant overtime

You should try to tame this thing in lost island instead of the island, because the island is low-level flagged map, so it will be really hard to find a high level one. Thus trying to find it on lost island is way easier.
I have a 140 female waiting for me there now that I grabbed Carchar eggs in Extinction
If you use extended hud when it's impregnated, you will see eqq quality %, host size% and craving satisfaction above the orange incubation time.
This will help with testing and finding out the exact heirachy order for which Dino to use.
Egg health percentage is based on the level of the wild rhyniognatha.
Bronto. Giga and charcoal sseem to give 100% host size. Haven't tested anything else
Rex gives 78%

Also the cravings don't need to be on 0 slot, just inside your inventory :)
Do you have to give them what they crave. Cuz I'm not in the late game enough to make exceptional kibble and stuff like that
@@rx4_ever886 if you do not do any cravings then they will only take 25% of the stats inherited from host.
Each craving adds 15% of the inherited stat, to a maximum of 100% of the inherited stat
Bare in mind this is stat point value and not the value you see of the Dino's inventory
So a giga with 2k melee will not necessarily give the baby rhynio 2k damage but will transfer the stat point value to the baby

@@rx4_ever886 yea you don't need to, it just increases the stats like imprinting but potentially gives much bigger bonuses then imprinting based on the level of the wild rhynio and the size of the host

You can get rhyniognatha saddle/saddle bp from:
- red ice cave loot crate;
- red swamp cave loot crate;
- deep sea loot crate.
See them every day on lost island. All over the swamp. You will hear them before you see them. My son and I play as a duo. The saddle for this thing is a two seater. We fly around and will net Dino’s from the air to tame. Also use it to hunt alpha. I sit in the back seat and shot gun them from the air.

Can pick up cloners and can place items like vaults on the ground without a foundation

You could probably place a tent on top of it while it's netted, and then make a more accessible structure over it in order to farm babies

Behemoth gates suprisingly are a REALLY good trap, literally 3 or 4 semi decently placed gateframes and 2 gates and it wont get out
Is the net gun the only way to get it down, or can we use the other traps? Should tame one with ascended settings to show us how.

What can be impregnated and what's best
Every creature (not including Tek) that is tameable with a drag weight from 300 to 1000 can be fed rhynio pheromone to impregante it
The host quality percentage ranges from 100 for for anything above 800, down to 25% for anything at the 300 drag weight.
Right in the middle is mammoth (426 drag weight) at 49% and rock drake (525 drag weight) at 51%
So megachelon, giga. Carcha and bronto are all above 800 drag weight and give 100% host quality size
Egg quality % scales at 2.5% per level starting at 25% for a base level and scaling to 100% for max level whatever that is based on your settings
@NOOBLETS while you're testing dinos, could you also see if the bug can put a egg in a juvenile/adolescent dino that's not full adult yet? Thank you

Thanks Steve... Rhyniognatha is by far the wonkiest critter to ever go into ARK. Concept and design was there, but the coding characteristics (AI, flight, animations) are sub-par for a "Sky Giga". Since the wyverns, I thought this was going to add a fear factor to flying and that the Rhynio would be a menace from above as you explore the maps. ARK truly lacks a "threat from above", and I was disappointed that the Rhynio did not fill that void. I like that it has a challenge for breeding high levels and the breeding mechanics are fun... it just needs more attention in the areas I mentioned to round this one out.
Those "Sky Giga" namesake came from the maker of the creature but wildcard never mention something about it.
So it seem like Wildcard intent to make this bugs be a "Just a meat version of Tek Skiff"
An alternative for a player who want to have Skiff but doesn't want to jump into Tek Tier.

You can literally have 1 that is a copy of a max mutation giga that can do even more damage than a giga
The damage output isn't terrible, base 55. Less than a wyvern by a good margin, but it can wildly outmaneuver a wyvern. Beats nearly all other flyers that I can think of.
@@johnozzmond9728 plus with the 2 person sadle you can have a friend with a high quality rocket launcher or Minigun riding shotgun to increase damage even further.
The reason there are no fast, powerful aggressive flying creatures is because that would be absolute misery to encounter as there is no way to escape them.
Wow new dino, that Rhyniognatha which like Queen Reaper to try impregnate the prey to host and got kill when came out the victim!

Can you do an easy to tame video for anyone that is playing the game normal?
So if playing on Island on primitive there will be no net gun, no maewing, no snow owl, probably no giga eggs as I have never seen a giga spawn in the few years I have played the game on The Island. No golden eggs and if I stood up on a trike, the creature would attack me so that wouldn’t work. Any work around of those?
Try using a bronto. Run around and shoot it to low health and then use bug repellent and ghillie to run by your bronto so that it only aggroes the bronto. Then you have to pray you have the food for it tame well. There’s really no work around for having a lack of equipment. If you’re on solo player you could just spawn in the materials.
Also this is one of the best Dino to ride when building

Fun fact, i was on my quetzal hunting a for a high level pteranodon when i was randomly attacked by a huge flier on my local game (couldnt be another person). Let me tell you about fear when you have a general real life fear of things with more than 4 legs and this bad boy that you've never heard of flies up out of the swamp undetected and starts attacking you. I now know what fear is.
Yet again, i another reason to hate the swamp. 😂

Brontosaurus is the best choice for bug mama has the top weight class and is the easiest one in slot to get breed and mutate
the problem with that idea is that nobody seriously breeds Brontos, and almost everyone already breeds gigas, so gigas will be the "easier" choice. Even though Brontos are easier if you are starting totally from scratch on a new character.

Is there a why you could use Tranq arrows, or bolas?
Stego's and Titanosaurs don't work as hosts.
Shadowmanes do work but you're better off with Bronto's, Carcha's and Gigas. Drag weight is the key.
Is it like the giga where there is always one or two on the map?
I started in a new official server at swamp, and by the first hour i sow this thing fighting a rex and when i came back few minutes later i sow its dead, so i picked it's egg, i still didn't knew what is the use of the egg, thought it's one of those throphy things you get out of big dinos LOL so i just put it in my box in my raft ,i survived in that server for a week but got bored and left the server, idk what happened to my raft by now, but it was funny to pick up an egg of this beast within the first hour, i didn't even knew it was the egg you could actually use to get one tamed, i learned that after watching few videos about the way people tame one 😂
Can you get a female baby rhyniognatha or just males like the reapers?
Do you have to be riding the Dino to get impregnated ? I keep getting it to low health but it won’t do the thing

I tamed it on my single player world.
I found that the orb didn't work on Dire Wolf, Sabertooth, Therizinosaurus and Ankylosaurus.
I spawned 150 Rhyniognatha. Used raised Rex's for the vessel.
The best level I got with four feeds was 143.
The colour of the tame was the same as the vessel. The tame had the information from the vessels ancestry.
Has to be a large dino. I tried turtle to add and that didn't work either
On the island in 4 hours of searching I've only found 1...
What mod is that that shows KeyBind Help?
Is this the easiest early game method? For ASA as I believe these will be meta for farming taming defending and general pvp
How do I get the highest level possible then? is it solely on the bug or the dino your using to birth it.
Do these share spawns with Queztals?
Do we know what other dino it shares a spawn with? For example Spino and Salmon. I've killed a couple, now I haven't seen any more in two days.
Some people think it could be sharing with quetzal but no 100% confirmed
It has its own spawn container without any other creatures.
It has its own spawn container with rhynio I. The name. So it is unlikely to share a spawn with anything, similar to how quetzals do not and titanosaurs do not but they have huge respawn timers

How to change the speed if the incubation process? Im in singleplayer hence why im curious?
I honestly don't like this thing. It has too many things going for it. It's going to make all the other flyers useless. Right now people are still finding them, but eventually every tribe will have 10 of them and the argies, pteras, wyverns, and tapejaras will end up wasting space, or just disposed of when the tribe tame limit is reached.
It's a level 90 saddle
It won't replace pteras, also it won't replace argues even though it has 1200 base weight, as you'll need to still kill enough males and get a good stat role from the host to get a good stat one to use to replace argies.
Eventually, given like 2 years sure it could replace everything but does it matter? It added variety for different level tribes and players to use. It is the end game flier like giga is the end game carnivore

This creature is to OP. Like it can shoot like a tek rifle, fly, swim, deal insane damage, walk on water, it can climb on trees like thyla and can scare predators away!!! what else would u want from it.
