    • @bintbint7210
      @bintbint7210 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Jessica James I wish I can say I was only joking. When I was in a relationship with a Dominican, I was told the same by other Latina friends who “know about Dominicans”. I hate to stereotype, but I wish I had listened because in my case their advice was accurate. That relationship was the most toxic & traumatizing relationship I have ever experienced. In retrospect, as manipulative and dishonest as he was, he really must be a narcissist or borderline sociopath. I’m sure not all Dominican men are like the person I dated, but I know way too many similar stories. One must really learn and understand their culture in order to make an informed decision before proceeding to pursue a relationship. Hypersexuality is present in many facets of Dominican culture to the point where sex & cheating is considered “casual”. I also know that in DR there is a disproportionate amount of single mothers compared to other societies (for some of these reasons). If you do pursue a relationship, at minimum do your research and be aware at all times. Good luck.

      how is she acknowledging her african roots by identifying as "african american" or "afro dominican" africa is a fucking continent, it is not a country. you are not acknowledging your african roots by identifying as "afro" lmaoooo. plus why would a latino of african descent like her have to identify as afro latino when everyone can tell she has african blood by looking at her?

    I am mixed, spainard , fillipino , black and white. Growing up in a diverse family My mom and grandma spoke spanish , english and fillipino. I've always gravitated to english because it is was just simple. As I've gotten older it's very rewarding to see everyone coming together to embrace and to learn more about the culture. The hispanic culture is expanding so much it really is good to know wording to stay up to date ! I love all hispanics and with me being a choreogapher, the different forms of dances and people I meet are incredible. Noone can take away your views but be mindful and grateful that others wish to express along with you! I know I have a lot of hispanic friends and family members that I love to death !!!!!! and just because I am part black does not mean I can't simply learn what's in my blood!!!! Keep an open mind

    • @aarias7891
      @aarias7891 7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Mohamed Ahmed Tato has many meanings to it . Not just "bet" so that's where you're wrong . Once again the phrase has NOTHING to do with the word trato . And bet is another word people use on the east coast that doesn't necessarily actually mean bet , bet is like another way of saying "say less" to us on the east coast . You just need to go away lol . How are you trying to tell me where a slang word from my country originates from ??

      maybe he said' recoger'' because if you said like that here in dominican it means also to have sex like quiero coger a la vecina esta buenisima hehe, but if you use the verb recoger like puedo ir a recoger la vecina que está en el hospital = can i go and pick the neighbor up she is in the hospital ?. they are two diferent verb in spanish but if we say it faster maybe the person we´re talking to think we say coger instead of recoger ..

    • @queenlandingsb.4359
      @queenlandingsb.4359 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      SPANISH LESSONS PARA TODOS AND MORE. We don't normally use coger for sex tho like other Latin Americans but we know it can be used for that. Dominicans mostly use coger as a way of picking something up

      Ang3los grace pretty much, chillaxing, is only used by Dominicans in the US, but here in Dominican Republic, it’s unheard of. Aside from that, those are pretty basic slang, now there are tons of them that I can’t even keep up,
