He's not 100% right. The REAL reason?? They aren't starting their ovens early enough. A deck oven needs at LEAST 3.5 hours to preheat in my experiences. If they open at 11?? The oven needs to be on by 7:30am... if they are experiencing a worse bake Saturday morning?? They aren't starting their ovens early enough... end of story.

I’ve been to this place many times. Best pizza place in North Jersey! The guys working there are pretty cool and they put a lot of effort into their work. Their signature chicken parm pizza is to die for! 🤤

Saturday morning deck oven theory is legit. I used to turn oven on 2 hours earlier on Saturday's to prime it up. I always thought it was an urban legend until I saw it here. Didn't have that issue in store with 5 decks though.

Brother Rose! The guy who came out with the pie, Rosario. He's the real deal. Im 43 and first met Rose when I was 4 years old when my family moved to a small town in NJ. called Maywood. Our first meal was from a pizzeria named Angelo's. Brother Rose was behind the counter making pies., that is the place he refers to in the video where he was a partner. I still remember that pie with my parents and brother. I thought it was the best pizza ever. Angelos was the only game in town and everyone went there. Brother Rose always seemed to be there all day and night, no matter when you went in. I always remember how cool Rose was to the kids going in their, and as I grew older I continued to go see Brother Rose and became good friends with him. When I had my first son we would go there once a week to keep the tradition going. Eventually I moved and lost touch with Rose. The day I first seen this video I find out that Brother Rose is having a grand opening at his own pizzeria in that same small town of Maywood. What a freaky coincidence. It is called Amici's Pizza. I will soon visit Brother Rose with my Family at his new restaurant. Brother Rose, I wish you great success. Big Zak

Time to try Nona Slice House in Safety Harbor Florida. Their pizza is literally some of the best on earth, not only because it’s taste an aroma, but because it’s the kind that create many memories with your family. The aroma from the shop fills the air half a block away and always makes me smile. Also, the owner Jamie, has won the world pizza dough spinning competition multiple times.

Dave needs to come to Bergen County since he's in NJ. In my tiny little town of Dumont, NJ alone we have a BUNCH of pizza places including one place with Bar pizza. There's a heavy Italian population in this area and I'd like to see what he thinks about the pizzerias in the area.
Within 5 mins from me (all in Dumont) there's:
Foschini's Pizza
Uncle Franks Pizza
Uptown Pizzeria II
Grant Street Cafe (Bar Pie)
Italian Connection
Nick's Pizza
Nino's Pizza
Also, La Bella Roma Pizzeria in Paramus, NJ, and Rudy's in Closter, NJ are good ones to check out. I just tried Rudy's a couple of days ago.
He should also check out Manny's Pizza (my favorite place near my college that just recently opened) and Johnny Napkins which is a popular one. They are both located in Union, NJ. They aren't too far from Santillo's either In Elizabeth, NJ which Dave already reviewed. I gotta go there tho I've never been to Santillo's.

You should only get points for the pizza. Anything else taints the score.
If he says there is extra points, bump it down from the score he gives then you get the pizza score. A few extra for this and that is ok. take em away if you want a true score. Easy.
