My first time knitting after 25+ years of not knitting anything at all. I was about 6-7 when I showed interest in knitting and then switched to crocheting. This is my first time picking up the needles in my adulthood and it's like being reunited with an old friend. It's a very wonky and slow start but I'm determined to finish a sweater for my son following your instructions. Let's see how it goes!
Thank you for this beautiful pattern, I just finished knitting it (my first ever sweater!) for my 2 year old’s birthday and it was a complete success! Instructions and video were clear and easy to follow.
Was just looking for random patterns to challenge myself and I have to say thank you because not everyone can write coherent patterns. I'm often confused and wondering what the pattern maker wants but you have made the process very easy. Also thank you for making a video to follow along!
This is so beautiful 😍 I have also done for my children. Your given instructions was perfect. Hope this type of tutorial, you may uploaded more . Thank you for sharing 🙂

What size needles did you use for a 3yr old please and how many co stitches.. sorry if I sound dumb but I haven’t been knitting long and would love to make this for my grandson..

Hi I have just starting to knit I followed you how to knit this sweater but can you help me how do I knit this same one but for a 1/2 years thank you for your time
That's what happened with the one I made for my 2 year old. The only thing I can think of is stop before you do the neck line on any parts. Leave the stitches on a stich holder. When you've finished sewing all the parts together go back and pick up the stitches for the neck line. Add extra stitch on the corners where you sewed together if you need to. Knit in the round with the smaller needles.. you. After 8 rows you might want to decrease 4 -8 stitches depending on the child's neck size. And knit several more rows k2P2. So it's taller. The one I made for my toddler who's 25lbs 33" tall. The neck line is open and sits on her shoulders. I put a t shirt underneath and the t shirt is visable at the neck but it's too late for me to fix it. I'm going to attempt the sweater again making adjustments where I need to fit my baby better. And look nicer.. The neck line was my only real issue with this pattern
I've made a lovely sweater for a friend's little one. However, there seems to be a small mistake in the pattern which I didn't notice until I sewed it up. It's in the neck ribbing for the front/back. The very end of the 5th row has left me with a row of 4 purl stitches instead of plain. I've knitted these 6 rows separately so I could check. Other than that everything worked out fine and I'm sure she won't notice it.
This might sound silly to you but I seems to always trouble find the instruction when ever the instructor said the instruction below. Where is below I scroll all the way down and can't find them. Will you help please. Thank you
Hi Peggy, I’m happy to hear it! Below this video, on the description box, you’ll find the link to another tutorial where I explain how to block and join your sweaters 😉

So when doing the raglan shaping you do 22 rows of the decrease in every odd row and purl every even down but on the last two rows but don't decrease on the 21st row???
You don’t have to decrease on rows 21 and 22. Please take a look at the written pattern (there’s a link below this video, on the description box). Everything is explained there too 😉

I love this pattern. I made it for my 3 year old grandson and it turned out great. I would love to make another one for my 12 month old grandson. Any suggestions how to do this, or do you have a similar pattern in smaller size? Thanks
I have a problem with counting stitches. So I start with 58 and follow instructions until I reach the underarm. Then, I decrease 2 stitches every other row until I reach row 19. That means I have reduced 9x2=18 stitches. By my calculation, 58-18 equals 40 stitches left on the needle, not 34. Where am I going wrong?
At the underarm (row 47) you bind off 2 stitches (58 →56 stitches) and 2 more on row 48 (56→54 stitches). Then you decrease 2 stitches on every odd row up to row 19 (which is 20 stitches in total) which will leave you with 34 stitches. Hope that helps :)

sara wael idk if you found a solution, and in a beginner so take this with a grain of salt but I think you would need circular needles and do everything the same but cast one more. So say you measure around your waist and it’s 30 inches and you wanted your sweater to be a little loose, we’ll say 32 inches just for ease, if you cast on how ever many stitches to make it 16 inches (because the front and back is the same) it would probably work. Idk what you would do ones you got up to the arms but if you just measured your body and made the rows it would probably work out. Good luck :)
