Tapping out to cast a displacer with no C source rather than holding up Endurance vs on board Hermit druid is definitely one way to play that last turn hmm. I guess trying to force out more interaction from Pontus is defensible but it would be worth confirming that he has some haha
Why did you fire of the demonic consultation? You could have just played the city of traitors, cast cabal ritual and exile elvish spirit guide for ad naus mana on turn two??
I was really hoping an angels grace deck for Hashaton to make your win pretty much un-counterable. Requirement: LED and Hash on the battlefield. Angels grace, thassa's oracle and leveler in hand. Also need 1 white, and 3 generic mana. 1. Cast angel's grace, and respond to it by sacrificing LED and add 3 blue mana to your mana pool and discarding your hand (note: this is a mana ability so it can go on top of split second) 2. Let LED resolve and spend 1 blue and 2 generic to copy leveler, and exile your entire library. 3. Spend 1 blue and 2 generic to copy thassa and win the game. Note: None of these steps are casting spells or using activated abilities, so everything will be on top of an angels grace for a protected win.
Cracking rhetoric captain in response to pontus wishclaw activación would kill pontus, and stay with cradle open for endurance would let him secure the win
It is actually a combination of playtesting on moxfield and using OBS as a webcam to send that feed to spelltable. I have a video tutorial explaining how to creat that set up for free in this youtube video link. th-cam.com/video/3xYR639ZwDo/w-d-xo.html
Throughout the game, was there any consideration to even cast Hashaton? There were a few scenarios e.g. prior Frantic Search where the commander could be cast to start running the discard advantage. Felt the gameplay was done without utilising the Commander
MORE Glarb & Hashaton & try out Ketramose (Orzhov for from Arther drift) I think all these decks have real legs and are decent enough to hang and keep things interesting with some of the top decks. Less of the cute stuff and more of the good cards with like 5-6 tech cards so they can have their own synergy payoffs.
i havent played magic outside of recordings since mid November and even in recordings im down to not overly trying to try and let the spark reignite :)
Honestly even in cEDH I would be surprised if Yidris isnt better just.. being Yidris theme. Cascade, double strike, extra attack phases, etc. I made a yidris deck for my brother and it might as well be cEDH-tier even without the same 50 cards in every single deck that can run them lmao. His deck is insane. Flat out insane.
Conceding because you didn't get an immediate win is never correct in a cEDH game. Your presence through commander beats and the potential to stop other wins will always be vital until the end. It's especially bad here when you even stated you fed Pontus 3 cards. Stay in the game and tough it out.
@@arthurrosa9403 I believe he could have still won had he given himself a chance. It was made quite difficult because he was unlucky but anything can happen in these games. It's always best to play it out.
I found the concession when he couldn't win really disappointing. In any real tournament setting, he would have had to drop if he were conceding the game. Never a reason to concede a game as the body will always be relevant to the results of a game
@@charlesmaillho367 yea it would be way more interesting imo to the see games played out like tEDH where people still fight for a draw after their winning outs become very slim

Man this was a rough game for everyone. Some very confusing decisions and play patterns for sure.
That was a weird decision not to crack ranger captain before casting finale...
Rhetoric seems to love giving games away
I came in to the comments to literally say this, why not use the ranger if you have the win?
Agreed, floating the mana with cradle then sac the ranger, then cast finalee for the win.
The deck lists in this video are perfection. Awesome lists.
Why did you fire of the demonic consultation? You could have just played the city of traitors, cast cabal ritual and exile elvish spirit guide for ad naus mana on turn two??
I actully forgot I had that much mana. I wanted to use demonic consult at the end step to set up a good ad naus. And forgot I had the mana.
Instead you drew fish like 3 cards and exiled all your wincons whoops LOL

gLarB iS LyFe!!! Ty for playing my decklist :) hope you liked it :)
Waiting to see some more play of Hashaton
Alredy played a game. It will be ready next week.
First! Excited for more CEDH content.
Thanks for all your time and effort guys. :)

What a game holly Moly, what a draw too
Forgetting to crack the Ranger Captain, for easy win. feels bad man
Man that was a game
Can we get a tutorial of how you guys do your setup for playing?

@ Thank you! This will be so nice for play testing and getting the rest of my group into a cedh game or two!

Turn 1 Drannith said otherwise
Could have had a Jin Gitaxis lmao
Well said.
activate wish claw only as sorcery?
No only on your turn but can be done in instant speed.

We just played a game of those commanders. Will be up next week.
@@cedhtvgameplay3974 💪🏼🫡 let’s go!
GG ❤❤❤
This was a “live and you learn” kinda game. 😅
We’ll it scuffed & just move along 🤷🏻♂️ 😂
Penguin!!!!
Penguin!"!!!
Pontus what happened to you, I've seen you mulligan better hands than that first one
i havent played magic outside of recordings since mid November and even in recordings im down to not overly trying to try and let the spark reignite :)
But wait that means rhetoric didn’t have to scoop because he could’ve prator grasped a thassa from glarb player
Drannith was in play
I had no praetors grasp.
I hate game ended up like this, lol

Some very weird choices in this one. Not a particularly great showing for Hashaton either.
Screw the hashaton bandwagon, its already gotten toxic af

But I will only sit and feed him more.
Why should he care who wins if not himself in a competitive format?

Man that hasbrown dude is really strong sadly it won’t be banned like nadu just cause the play pattern is not as miserable to play
