How to get IV of option strikes. Do we need to apply black and sholes or kite give us directly the value?

It is not clear when you said " Sum the vega of all the strikes with delta of 0.6 to 0.05 at 9:15" and then again take the "Sum of the vega of strikes at 10:00 AM" then do the difference of both the sums
The strike prices with delta 0.6 to 0.05 at 9:15 will be different at 10:00 AM, so we need to take same strike price which were at 9:15 or what.
Say at 09:15 NIFTY was at 18500 , so strikes with delta 0.6 to 0.05 will be 18400 to 19200.
Now at 10:00 AM Nifty is at 18600, so Strikes with delta 0.6 to 0.05 will be 18500 to 19300.
We need to match the strikes or deltas when capturing the data again at 10:00 AM ??
As per my opinion when VIX is low, play only directional Strategies in weekly if market is found directional , avoid playing non-directional strategies in sideway market coz OTM premium will be found minimum which affect risk reward ratio
but how do we figure direction of the market. Also, if we know direction, should we not wait for momentum so that option buying can be made
@@amank1939 to identify direction do technical analysis, to find out momentum mark major buying or selling level... beyond that level you may get the momentum this is called smart money concept, don't go with necked option buying....now if you can find the momentum then go with Debit spread and Debit calendar spread(if expiry is nearby...so that theta decay will be less affective)....in high VIX try to go with Credit spread...hope this tips may helpful

I think from last 2 - 3 years option selling was much hyped and tht is why lot of retail plyers selling option and due to which the premium is dirt cheap and eventually the edge gone !!!!

There's no edge in options buying, edge comes from managing your risk, cheap premiums just increases risk not diminished edge! And there are same buyers as are the writers
Right now market is not range bound it is always trending

A question for Mr.Gupta - in a practical sense how do we apply the updated data on Vega, Theta & Delta. For e.g if I get a sideways reading for Nifty at 9:20 then do I deploy a strangle and lets say I get a bearish / bullish reading at 10am then do I exit the strangle and deploy a straddle?

How much capital required for option selling
Capital required for option selling depends upon how much absolute value of money you want to make per day or per month , to start with selling you need 50K at least
Depends if you want to go directional or non directional. For firefighting through adjustments you might need 2L approx for 1 lot.
