I made these and they were absolutely delicious. And on my second time of making I added 50g of desiccated coconut and sprinkled on some light brown sugar on top before baking. And the raisins we get here in Ireland and really small so I plumped them up by soaking them in tea & orange juice. Took my rock buns to another level of deliciousness..
Wow! It brings back a lot of memories to me❤️🥰 This was my first bake and it was rock buns when I was 13years old. Having studied at a Convent School it was compulsory for us to learn Home Science for 2 years. Thank you for the recipe 🙏🏼

Thanks Bincy. I haven't made rockbuns for a while n they were always a hot favourite at home with my boys. Now they're all grown but my eldest still love them..your recipe is so simple n I must give it a try as a surprise for tea. Thanks n keep well. 😊❤
We can make 1 cup of self rising flour by mixing 1 cup of plain flour with 1 tsp of baking powder. In this recipe you can mix 1 and 3/4 tsp of baking powder to 1 and 3/4 cups of plain flour to get 1 and 3/4 cups of self rising flour. Hope this helps 🥰
