The world's greatest band 👍 Bassist Asa is a man, but not uncommon to confuse him with a woman Homura (flame) is a song the guitarist Mackiya brought with him from a previous solo project. He uses the "Noh" mask on those songs. You will find at least 6 different versions of it, with and without Kurona and Beni. It is rarely performed the same from concert to concert. Akatsuki no ito (the thread of dawn) is written by Machiya and is a very special song for wagakki Band. The audience uses it as an encore chant. The song has only one verse repeated, apart from the shigin part at the beginning of the song. It can be sung to infinity. Machiya said in an interview that the first two years were trial and error until they found the recipe for not overpowering the traditional instruments. Wagakki bands are based on Yuko's voice and wagakki (Japanese traditional instruments) Daishinnenkai (New Year's party / concert) 2022 has a longer shigin intro than the original. The version of Doppo that they performed at Premium Symphinc Night is also beautiful. Yuko and Machiya in the duet. YT channel "CC W" has both versions with English subtitles WGB constantly puts together big shows, One of Japan's most popular bands at the moment. Everyone is professional on their instruments, All songs are good, no one is equal, Metal, rock, jazz, ballads, funny songs, sad songs, etc. WGB is an 8 piece band: Yuko Suzuhana - Shigin, vocals (Founder of WGB) Machiya - guitar, vocals (Arrangement) Beni Ninagawa - tsugaru shamisen (Three strings (guitar looks like)) Kiyoshi Ibukuro - koto (Japanese National Instrument) Asa - bass Daisuke Kaminaga - Shakuhachi (Bamboo Flute) Wasabi - drums Kurona - wadaiko, Taiko (Traditional Drums)

Wagakki band is amazing but they are not a metal band. They are japanese folk whatever-western-genre. They basically mix various genres like metal, rock, pop, jazz, even electronic ballads with Japanese folk. If you want something heavy from them it can be "Ignite", "Tengaku", "Guernica", "Valkirie" or "Ikusa"

Each one of them are actually master-level musicians, and that flute (Called shakuhachi) is actually really hard to learn to even create a single note
I loved this. I'm going to look for more Japanese bands! Thank you Angelo
