- Remember Vetements? Today, the name Demna is infamous for the Balenciaga scandal. Although he has been laying low lately, along with Balenciaga the brand who recently began posting on IG again, al be it with comments disabled (like cowards).
In the eyes of many, his legacy has been forever tainted, and it's easy to write the guy off as fill in whatever adjective you would like for him. But despite his questionable decisions as of late, the guy is a talented designer.
But All the smoke that was emitted from the fall out seems to have blotted Vetements from view, and these days, it seems like a thing of the past.

The Balenciaga scandal only occurred in the US. The rest of the world didn’t care. Vetements are dressing a lot of celebrities lately and still has a relevance. Demna will always be an amazing designer where ever he’s working.
Balenci and Vetements are HUGE in Asia and Europe still. The ppl bitching about the "scandal" never wore balenciaga in the first place, just jumping on something for clout

When you described the idea and concept behind the creation of Vetements, it confirms why I dont like purchasing the brand even if I like the style because quality is not part of their purpose. Usually quality goes hand in hand with the fashion concept behind a brand, obviously not always. Vetements is certainly part of that bandwagon. I enjoy putting my money to other luxury brands that I know have much better quality for the same price and just wait for a fit or design they release that aligns how I wanted.

This era of vetements was legendary. They still have good pieces but for me personally the pricetag nowadays is even more ridiculous compared to then. BTW: Vetements created all looks for UFO361 latest Tour (German Rapper that is pretty big here but has also collaborated with the Migos, Future, Gunna, Lil Baby, 070Shake and He, Sonus030 and BFRND made the music for the Balenciaga mud runway)

Honestly that's everything now. Inflation is effecting fashion. If you want pay low cost, go for supreme, bape, shit even mnml. But If you want high fashion luxury then your going to have to pay high fashion prices.

I shouldn't have used inflation as a source. More like the market in fashion is at all time high. I mean supreme hoodies retail at $220.
