This is why the US is still a powerhouse...because the Military has anonymity from politics plus its massive budget that is larger than the next 10 countries combined. That's why when you listen in the beginning of his speech, Miley says "the military tries to remain apolitical to keep Americas best interests in mind". That's why when most militaries meet us on the battlefield or even as host nations respect the American Military. However our political system is dysfunctional to say the least because it is run by wealthy bureaucrats.... sounds a bit like Rome during the height of their rule. Which is why now the Rich in congress are trying to "Woke" the American Military put corrupt leaders in place. We are seeing this in Russia right now. So far it has failed because of leaders like MM but he is on his way out...So who comes next? I pray to the world the Democrats don't get their way. The globalization policy of the the Liberal Democrats will come full force. This coming from an American who just wants peace. I served in the US military. We don't want war....and neither does anyone else. Nobody truly wants to go toe to toe with us. it will be WW3

The American public needs to see more of our military leaders discussing issues affecting our country. Unfortunately we don’t see our generals often in media addressing serious and challenging questions. I appreciate this interview but I wished to see more challenging questions instead of general, softball questions. I’d like this Chairman challenged on issue of systemic intelligence failures from the military whether it’s China or even predicting Afghanistan’s collapse. As Chairman what is he doing to change the generational culture and Pentagon bureaucracy that is costing Americans trillions of dollars with so little to show. How can America trust this military to defend us in cyberspace when senior cyber officials resigned over Pentagon bureaucracy and unwillingness to take cyber serious. China and Russia will decimate us but our slow Pentagon culture isn’t changing to think outside of the box.

who cares what they say, they have a job, and it isn't to have open opinions on either national issues or foreign policy - they do their job and generally, don't ask questions. the tough questions can be about fighting a specific war, but otherwise, politicians are the ones who need the tough questions.
