    Behringer B-2Pro is notably more detailed and more intelligible on the voice. the at2020 sounds less detailed and a bit muffled compared to the B-2Pro. i think the B-2Pro is one of the best microphones, its for around $120 new and compares to very expensive mics like the AKG C12vr or the, Neuman u87, Sennheiser etc. .

    The B2-Pro has a fuller sound, giving you more to work with.

    B2 wins easily. The sibilance is so much better. Listen to "six" in both of the six inch tests.
    Also, what's with the low-end pops on the first AT2020 test on the words "twenty"? You can hear a low rumble on the "T" sounds and see them in the waveform.

    B2 Pro wins unless you mind its greater sensitivity to background pickup.

    3:28 - How can the B-2 Pro have a 'ruler-flat frequency response from 20 Hz to 20 kHz' while also having a 'slight boost in the presence range'?

    • @BenoniStudio
      @BenoniStudio  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Either would work. Though if you don't have a large diaphragm condenser I'd go for the B2 or similar. You can setup both the B2 and SM58 and sing into both at the same time and layer your vocals too.

    • @BenoniStudio
      @BenoniStudio  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      its usually a bad XLR cable or bad connection. It could also be a ground loop from your audio interface, other interference, or the mic could be going bad.
      But its probably just the cable.

The clearer, the better in my opinion (and you could also use the gain on interfaces, every pre amp has his own character. Unless you have a cheap interface, youre going to like the effect of pushing a little those bad boys )

    Berry is more open, 2020 is more closed. B2 for instruments and 2020 for noisy places.

  • @JuanIgnacioSuarezRosario
    @JuanIgnacioSuarezRosario 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    around 5 min you can clearly hear that theres something funny on how the mic reacts to the noise, almost ALMOST like a gate working ?? is this thing edited ? i mean, its the same room and the same AC, the same distance, YET.. in the b2, the space between every word you said is filled with background noise, (the AC clearly ) and this is not the case for at2020, theres NOTHING between your words... thats great i think ? either the AT2020 is BY FAR better choice for his amazing noise rejection or you have solid knowledge of sound editing XD

      I know this is a year old now, but yes that clip was of the processed vocals, so there is a gate, compressor, and eq on that clip as he stated in the beginning.
