Hello there! Big fan here! I'm just curious about how you add the texture to the grass since it doesn't show in the process because your mouse goes further than the screen and I'm quite curious about how you added the texture on top of the color by clicking a couple options!

If I'm not mistaken I used Illustrator's patterns, and they come with the program. You need to open the swatches tab, following this path Swatches > Patterns > Basic_Graphics > Textures

You can choose many options, just make sure it's a vector type of file.
For example: PDF, DWG, EPS, and others.

The application is up to you. I usually use Sketchup for quick modelling, but you can use any BIM software, or one that can export into vector files, such as the ones that I described

Oi! Muito obrigado! Assim que conseguir vou postar mais videos e ajustar as legendas do youtube!
Todas as texturas e arquivos de pessoas eu achei online na primeira pesquisada que dei. As pessoas em vetor você consegue achar se procurar por "300 people silhouette", deve ser o primeiro link. As árvores eu procurei por arquivos sem fundo (.png) e vetorizei pelo próprio illustrator em modos diferentes até achar o que gostava, ai troquei o preenchimento pra branco e o contorno pra preto. Já a grama é possível usar um pattern disponível também no illustrator, tem várias outras opções. Se você for em Window > Swatches, na aba que abrir tem um lugar pra clicar no canto superior direito que abre algumas oções pro Swatches, vai na linha Open Swatch Library e as que usei estão dentro de Pattern.

Where your Swatch pannel is there click on the 3 horizontal line icon and choose open swarch library and select patterns and basic graphics

great design sir! I am curious what bleachers are? you had an annotation for them but i am not familiar with the term
Thank you Brian! These bleachers are for the access of a elementary school. A project that I did for university back in 3rd year of graduation.
The bleachers are mixed up with regular sized stair to give multiples uses for this space.
Bleachers are what's is used to watch games in a court. They usually have a right riser size

Hey Tori! This process in Adobe Illustrator is called Vectorize. Try to search more about that on TH-cam, there are plenty of very good videos teaching how to do that!
Alternatively, you can trace out yourself using the pen and line tool

This is for Illustrator only! Photoshop does not work with vectors, only pixels 😁

Hey there! I usually go for google images and turn on the settings for high quality above 2mp. Also there's a website called textures.com that has some free textures

Hi Gerardo! If you google free vector people, or something like that, there are a lot of options to chose from. Sometimes it comes as EPS files, which works just fine in Illustrator

Uhh sorry about that! Should've showed in the video.
To open that texture tab go to: *Window* *>* *Swatches*
Then click on the button that is the most to the right and up of the new tab
It will open a dialog with lots of text,
Select " *Open* *Swatch* *Library* *>* *Patterns* *>* *Basic* *Graphics* *>* *Basic* *Graphics*_*Textures* "
There are a lot of steps, but I hope that shows an easy path. If not, feel free to come back!

its can be done in Ps , the point why u done this is Ai is this illustration is made for pdf export?
It is also possible to export in .PDF from Photoshop, but it will come out as a rasterized image instead of vectorized.
I opted to used Illustrator for this image because of the program workflow. If you're going for a more schematic look with solid fills and no soft shadows, Illustrator is the best option (plus you can also edit weight lines and colors fast and easy). Hope that helps! Cheers!

what was the 11 * 17.5 for?
I was doing some math to figure out the levels between the stair start and finish. 11 steps times 17.5 cm (which is the "base/ideal" measurement of a single step height)

Hi! It might be that your EPS is too large. Try to reduce the size when exporting from sketchup. Let me know if that works out

But it might be that your file is on *gray* *scale* *mode*
Make sure to go to image, then image mode and choose RGB

You could have finished the stairs in sketchup before loading it up to Illustrator. Would have spared you all the work in illustrator. This video could have been 2 minutes.
