Dear Sughero, Inspired by Your video, I decided to dig up this game on my computer and try and max it (at least there where it is possible). And of course I am stuck at La Roca, trying to reach the skull just before Save Point 2. Is there anything special about this jump? I go the catnip, yet I fall just before the platform. And after a 10th failed attempt I simply start to wonder if I can do there anything more than just pressing space at a pixel-precise moment and holding it. Hope You read this and thanks for the video :)
@Jędrzej Marciniak: it's a pretty hard jump, nearly frame-perfect. You should be able to do it easily if the game runs at 60fps. Thanks for watching my video! And sorry for the late answer, TH-cam didn't send the notice.

I actually didn't expect You to answer so I managed to figure out the jump - it actually can be done without running when Claw is on the very last spot available (he goes "Woah!" and leans towards the "abyss"). Those pixel perfect jumps are a pain for me. I am currently trying to do level 6, got to 1st save point but the stash with moving platforms (the one to which You get through first catnip) is gonna take me some time. Although thanks to Your video I know it's possible. Thank You once more :)
The cutscene at the beginning just perfectly summarizes the love and dedication that went into this whole game. Whoever did this truly made a gem that can be played no matter what age you are and what time you live in. A true classic, if sadly rather unknown.

Since my childhood I was always convinced and told everyone that collecting all treasure in Claw was impossible and whoever managed to do it is not mortal. I confirm I found someone under that profile, your gameplay was really out of this world!! I play Claw for 20 years and checking your whole walkthrough made me feel like an amateur, haha (and so does my walkthrough)! There were secret areas, I can give the example of two of them: Battlements' Clouds and Red Tail's post fight, that I never knew about them in this time span that I'm playing the game. My opinion about your walkthrough can be summed up to one word: Respect. You master this game, I never thought I would see someone doing that! My sincere congratulations for this excellent performance!

An amazing thing about this video is not how i got nostalgic watching it but it's how my mother without even seeing my mobile screen recognized this game I'm watching just by hearing this sound 7:02 . She immediately asked me if i am playing that game i used to play all day when i was a child. Even after 20 years she remembers it. Edit: living in bangladesh i didn't have access to get the full game, i only had the demo of the game which came free with some software disc or something, i used to play that demo over and over again. Still some of my favorite memories from my childhood.

I just downloaded this game for my 3 kids to play and im just in awe of how amazing this game is (the kids fell in love with it also. Devs really used to put in effort in video games and this here is a masterpiece. I played it with them and im just as bad at it as I used to be back then but still love every bit of it. Loved this so much when I was a kid. Worms 2 and Claw are still maybe my favorite games ever. Didnt manage to defeat Katherine so I never got past that. After all these years I am watching this again. One of the best games ever. After 20 years I am still hoping for a sequel or a remake. This level of skill and precision is rarely seen. You’ll see many, many Gill Beasts in the famous lake. Very good, Sughero! Thanks for sharing with the world this great playthrough. _Captain Claw_ (1997) is one of my most memorable and favorite childhood games. Lucky me for having had the opportunity to know and to play a great and well-designed game like this. A pure gem, even for nowadays standards.

Claw is a pirate with standards. Not a full on evil bloodthirsty one that would just raid a ship full of defenseless people and kill them all. Redtail on the other hand is a full on evil one.

Sir, hands down, this is BY FAR one the most amazing gameplay I've ever seen. You rocked around those dogs like a true pirate. I loved this game when I was a small boy and I would still play it today. :D this game was also released the year I was born, so this just makes it more awesome. And about your gameplay, I don't know why you kept evading using fire/ice/lightning swords and magic, but I guess it was because it would've been too easy for you. Nevertheless, very entertaining run. :D

Really impressive! I find the game very challenging (and I'm quite sure I am not the only one), but you make everything look so easy. Even after struggling for so long I can't win it. I keep falling into the lava when I need to defeat Omar the second time...
If you want a little trick: There is a code that gave to Captain Claw infinite munition, even if we talk about gun, dynamite and Magic Claw. You can wriylte the code twice to activate and deactivate it if you dont want to look like cheating (you will cheat anyway) The point of this comment was that i abused of the infinite amo cheat and shot at Omar every second. Then i took my timing and distance to know where Lava Tentacle goes down so I could jump
Wow! What a video! I am watching it in various moments of the day because it is super long! How many memories of my childhood! I spent soo many hours playing Claw! Obviously I have never perfected a level, nor I would have never finished the game without some tricks! I believe you are not a human being for playing so well! I absolutely love this game. During my school years, I used to play the hell out of this game. I wish I could play this game even now. This really was on par with Disney games at that time.
This game was one of my biggest childhood traumas. I've never managed to get past Undersea Caves let alone perfect anything, I even remember getting past Cliffs and that damn boss took me over a week. Watching you destroying this game was catharsis by proxy.

Claw is a pirate with standards. Not a full on evil bloodthirsty one that would just raid a ship full of defenseless people and kill them all. Redtail on the other hand is a full on evil one.
A few days ago i was watching a challenge "Claw in one day" I thought, there is no fkin way to do 100% from this game. Then I found THIS. Dude, you are awesome.

Amazing run! It's so good to watch you play this. The game brings a lot of memories for me.
It also surprises me how long these stages are and they still manage to not feel like they drag for the eternity, I didn't notice they were so long when I was a child.

Sir, hands down, this is BY FAR one the most amazing gameplay I've ever seen. You rocked around those dogs like a true pirate. I loved this game when I was a small boy and I would still play it today. :D this game was also released the year I was born, so this just makes it more awesome. It is so sad there will never be a Captain Claw 2. Imagine with today's graphics, physics and engine what an amazing Captain Claw you would make.
And about your gameplay, I don't know why you kept evading using fire/ice/lightning swords and magic, but I guess it was because it would've been too easy for you. Nevertheless, very entertaining run. :D

Really impressive! I find the game very challenging (and I'm quite sure I am not the only one), but you make everything look so easy. Even after struggling for so long I can't win it. I keep falling into the lava when I need to defeat Omar the second time...
If you want a little trick: There is a code that gave to Captain Claw infinite munition, even if we talk about gun, dynamite and Magic Claw. You can wriylte the code twice to activate and deactivate it if you dont want to look like cheating (you will cheat anyway)
The point of this comment was that i abused of the infinite amo cheat and shot at Omar every second. Then i took my timing and distance to know where Lava Tentacle goes down so I could jump

How many memories of my childhood! I spent soo many hours playing Claw! Obviously I have never perfected a level, nor I would have never finished the game without some tricks! I believe you are not a human being for playing so well! You make look easy what was actually really hard if not impossibile!
I absolutely love this game. During my school years, I used to play the hell out of this game. I wish I could play this game even now. This really was on par with Disney games at that time.

This game was one of my biggest childhood traumas. I've never managed to get past Undersea Caves let alone perfect anything, I even remember getting past Cliffs and that damn boss took me over a week.

Complimenti, nel corso degli anni ho visto vari longplay del gioco ma tu sei indubbiamente il migliore, le ore di pratica (e passione) che ci stanno dietro sono incalcolabili, e si vedono. Questo gioco lo amavo quando avevo 5-6 anni e lo sto vivendo grazie a te visto che da piccolino il massimo a cui arrivavo era il sesto livello XD
