I think that catnip inside that tough warp, at 10:26, should’ve been active for at least 59 seconds (instead of 49). With 59 seconds, the player could better get all of the coins and those other ones up the high mast right after the warp. I do believe developers have made an important mistake with the timing of that warp.
In some cases i am not even sure if they properly tested getting a perfect score at all... Let alone the highly fascinating price... getting one extra life... after collecting pretty much everything anyway :D
I needed a lot of time to learn how to defeat the boss and this level was horrific to me with the catnips. I literally thought that you need it to l maintain the catnip state until you get to the boss, to be able to jump and beat him
That warp at 10:20 of the video is one of the hardest in the game. I simply don't understand why Claw, in my computer, doesn't jump far and well enough. When my Claw jumps and falls to get all those coins, he can't go enough to the right, so as to reach all those coins (at 11:13 and at 11:16), no matter how hard I press the spacebar. To make things worse, when we finish the warp, which is a great challenge by itself, we have another row of coins to the far right (thank you very much, developers...) at the top of the mast (at 11:24), without the catnip boost, before Gabriel. Any tips on this jumping problem? This is strange, because back to my childhood memories, I didn't have that jumping issue in my old computer.
I agree with you... lvl8 is the second hardest to maxout (lvl10 is harder in my opinion) Yeah the problem with Claw not jumping as high/far as he should is a pretty common one... there are few things you can try! - type MPFPS during the game... it will show the fps... it should be at 60 - download the crazy hook version (runs well on modern systems) you find it here: captainclaw.net/en/ - sounds crazy... but if you play older versions it can help when you have some programs running in the background to kill off some CPU... Hope it will help!
I watched several claw speedrunners and I really liked how they make the grenade jump even better, by using f1 to insta-detonate it. By abusing this, could be there a way to loop levels 7 and/or 8 infinite times?? I know you can do this with level 2, but this one is hard, so I was thinking if there could be an easier alternative
how did you download and setup this game i have been struggling for 8 years since i installed windows 7 on my pc and i fail every time i try to run this game . any advice please?

Not even worth it on version 1.0 They could have done better, like giving you some buffs (higher jumps, more hitpoints or so...) But the feeling to collect everything makes it worth at least... kinda

i probably never beat a level of this game
This is the last "easy" level in this game. Everything at level 9 and foward, enemies, traps, are terribly difficult.
