yessss 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 you’re so articulate with this, emphasis on the “it’s not a method”, it’s not an activity you do, it’s something you provide all year long. I’d add it’s also vital to slooooow down when you’re giving the valuable input 🫶🏼
YES!! I think I've shared on IG before how one of my "roommates" hung a sign in the back of the room with just the letters "STFD" to help us remember 🤣🤣it's so easy to get GOING way too fast for them!
I love this synopsis. Your information is always so good. I love the products I have purchased from you too. I would love to hear more about integrating Ci strategies while using a textbook or other curriculum. I am also interested in hearing about CI at all levels of proficiency. 1-AP/IB.
I've subscribed and am happy to find you. I will be watching. My native language is English, though I'm currently studying Spanish while learning the alphabets of Russian and Bulgarian. Would you suggest Lingo Pie can help as well?
This was helpful. I get it but I don't get it yet. As in, I don't know what basic stuff to do to help my kids actually acquire that narrow view of words. I should watch the chuck it bucket next?
Sounds like you're looking for a "what does CI look like when I put it in a lesson plan?" kind of video? if that's the case, I'd recommend this step by step walkthrough to share how I'd recommend picking activities to use with your students: th-cam.com/video/eqAdi-83zKo/w-d-xo.html
Hello, I am usually following you and purchasing your materials since I found them interesting. I am trying to get into CI and I would like to know if it is possible to see a kind of example o a lesson or mini-lesson using CI, let's say about a very common topic novice students will take during Spanish class. I am asking you this because I have read a lot about CI and have seen a lot of materials based on CI but I still confused about how are our students getting the idea. (Maybe my brain is just frozen :'/
did you happen to see my first day of school video? that miiiight be what you have in mind - but check it out and let me know if that's not the kind of thing that you were imagining!
but to address the second part - CI is about how our brains naturally acquire the language, rather than explaining the different concepts to them. A great example of this is thinking about the first 2-3 years of a person's life - their loved ones aren't forcing them to focus on particular areas of language like "likes/dislikes" or "hobbies" - they just talk to them about what they need to communicate and the language comes naturally! Often we see this kind of blended in a school setting, but the foundational principals are what we're trying to apply to our classrooms. I hope that makes sense!
@@SrtaSpanish Thanks a lot. It does make sense, I’ll keep on improving my CI in the classroom, I’m realizing that my problem is probably that I have always follow the structure of the book(in terms of the topics to follow only) and that’s probably we’re my brain is getting some problems.
Hi Nora! I bet you would like my "first day of school" video or my movie talk videos! Those are a bit more specific :) th-cam.com/video/uqOoasbcZQk/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/N6tiuyUVlCk/w-d-xo.html

More real examples. Let’s watch you or others do it
