I love the way this movie portrays the scriptures. The savior tell Simon to keep his eyes focused upon him, and when he doesn’t and he doubts, that is when he sinks. He then immediately calls out to the Savior , who immediately reaches out and saves him. The movie actually has more that this little clip doesn’t. Jesus then gets in the boat with him and holds him, comforts and loves him. However, the storm has not ceased. Sometimes, even when we’re in the boat with the Savior, the storm rages on. At some point in our lives, the Savior says peace be still. I pray that time comes soon. But until then, I will try to have faith and keep my focus on our Savior Jesus Christ ❤

I cried like a baby. Simón Peter truly loves Jesus. Even though he denied him in a weak moment in his life, but after Jesus ‘s resurrection , Peter was a great shepherd just like Jesus knew he would be. I love Jesus .

I felt like one of the most powerful moments is when Jesus explains our suffering. There are so many people who think God is just mean for allowing suffering and they want to know why just like Peter did. Why does it seem like the most faithful are the ones who were suffering the most. I think it hurts so badly because when you know Jesus you know who He is intimately. You know He has the power to change your circumstances in an instant, but what if He chooses not to; to allow you to suffer through something. The Father prunes us to shape our character. The answer to the reason we suffer has been displayed numerous times in this show. It is to strengthen our faith in Him, for a testimony to others, and for His glory.

Even As badly as they suffered it pales in comparison compared to the way our perfect , sinless, Lord and savior, Jesus Christ suffered. Terribly the worst suffering

Here's something interesting you might not know that I don't think any of the writers or directors touched on in any of the behind the scenes for this show. I'm not even sure they realized this, but there is a reason they had Peter going through these trials and the reason for what Jesus told him while he was still in the boat. "Why do you think I allow trials?" and Peter replies with, "I don't know!" The answer that Jesus gives to Peter in the show was written BY Peter in 1 Peter 1:6,7.

When God allows us to go through something he is testing our faith and that's what I love about God so much is that he knows just when to show up he knows we might be about to fall but he picks us right back up and dust us off thank you Jesus for when we fall you're always there Jesus and I'm always thankful for your forgiveness and your mercy and your grace God

    Proverbs 8:22-35
22 The Lord possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old.
23 I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was.
24 When there were no depths, I was brought forth; when there were no fountains abounding with water.
25 Before the mountains were settled, before the hills was I brought forth:
26 While as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the highest part of the dust of the world.
27 When he prepared the heavens, I was there: when he set a compass upon the face of the depth:
28 When he established the clouds above: when he strengthened the fountains of the deep:
29 When he gave to the sea his decree, that the waters should not pass his commandment: when he appointed the foundations of the earth:
    30 Then I was by him, as one brought up with him: and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him;
31 Rejoicing in the habitable part of his earth; and my delights were with the sons of men.
32 Now therefore hearken unto me, O ye children: for blessed are they that keep my ways.
33 Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not.
34 Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.
35 For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the Lord.
now compare this Scripture from the Old Testament to this Scripture from the New Testament:
    John 1:1-18
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
15 John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me.
16 And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.
17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.
18 No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.
    Colossians 1:15-17
15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
    Hebrews 1:2-3
    2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:
Glory to the Lamb, the Lord Jesus Christ the Son of God!

This is not scriptural. The Bible says Peter began to sink. He slowly began to sink because he took his eyes off Jesus and looked at the natural wind and waves. At the natural and off the spiritual. He did not sink under the water like it shows here. He slowly began going down until he put his eyes back on Jesus. They should have gotten this right. This scene is not what God said happened .

Is this a historical story or a parable? The Christ who walked on water existed only in the gospel writers' minds. He is supposed to be flesh and blood and you can add bone to that. Has he got rid of those awful attributes. To float something on water it would need to be extremely light. But this story is spoiled by the fact that only Matthew records the walk with Peter. It is impossible to believe that such an astonishing event would not be told throughout Israel and Mark, Luke and John would not be aware of it. Yes, it is a parable. It confirms the status of Peter as another Christ to be the first Pope.

It's obviously not canon or backed up in the scripture, but after several years of study I have (unfortunately) come to the conclusion that Batman could beat Jesus. But this hasn't shaken my faith because it is such an extreme scenario. Seeing Jesus walk on water, albeit using modern special and practical effects, is still a miracle

@@matthewsubramani pure fiction like all the other religions. By the way so you know there are zero eyewitness accounts, to anything related to Jesus. Is all second hand word of mouth and all that is written is all after his supposed death. Funny you would think his gang of merry men would be writing everything down as it happened, but alas no. And further more the bible is anecdotal and largely put together from other older works. For instance the Noah flood story is a direct word for word copy of "The epic of Gilgamesh", which was written roughly 800 years prior to the invention of christianity. Knowledge is power.
