What an amazing video. I’ve been watching EBC vlogs for quite a while now, just thinking about saying “fuck it” and going solo. Now THIS is the video that made me say “fuck it” and buy a flight to Kathmandu in May next year. I am beyond excited and I can’t wait to experience the thrill of this journey ❤
That makes me so happy to hear! You are going to have such an incredible time. Know that it's more of an adventure than a vacation. It's hard but so rewarding. Truly believe it's a life-changing trip that anybody who CAN do it, SHOULD do it. Wishing you all the best on your adventure!!
there isn't much convenience for transportation to Everest Base Camp, but hiking there is truly a fun and enjoyable experience. Enjoy your trips and love from Nepal!❤️
Absolutely amazing. Guys after Nepal I recommended you visit the himalayan mountains k2 and Broadpeak view point from one place moses peak Gilgit-Baltistan Barah Valley. Add this sound in your bucket list
@@Melody_N_NatureApril and October are the two most popular times as they’ll have the best weather and visibility. The thing we liked about April was seeing the climber activity at basecamp, which I don’t believe you get in October
You missed the best trail on the EBC trek by going through Tengboche twice. There is a much more amazing high trail going up via Phortse, opposite side of the valley from Tengboche. Vastly better views, no trekkers, no extra days needed. Only come down via Tengboche.
So true! Several western companies now do that on the way up, no time penalty either on the way up. More adventure and solitude and lots of Himalayan tahr.
Mate, probably one of the best vids I have ever seen. You guys should be proud of that. I would have liked a little more airtime (LOL), but I can also live with your beautiful cinematography. You brought back some fond memories and your narration, both of you, was inspiring. I loved trekking with you and Sarah and hope your travel days are many from here on in (and are filled with more oxygen). It's a beautiful part of the world, and Jos and I were even more lucky to have shared it with you. I look forward to welcoming you in Oz soon.
We got so lucky to be paired with the two of you!!!! Made an unforgettable trip even more incredible! We will be knocking on your door in Australia soon and you know you are always welcome at ours if you head Toronto way!!
Great video. Quite informative! We are planning a trip to EBC as well. Can you please share the name of the company for your trip? The one you hired for your trip, porter and tea houses. Thanks!
Hi. I am planning to go solo for this treap next year in November. I also live in Canada as you guys and I do not have many mountains to train. How hard was the 21km coming back the last 2-3 days? I am a bit scared
The way back is by far the easiest part! As the oxygen returns to your body, you feel stronger than you were at the start of the trip. Believe us, the hard part is going up! You got this, do some stair training and some cardio and you’ll crush it
@@MasonQuesting thank y for getting back to me. Can y please share how y guys trained and which company did y used?. Since I am going alone and there are soo many. I am not sure which one to pick. Between himalayan social journey or alpine ramble treck 😕
@@fabiolavallejo6314 our company was Green Valley Nepal Treks - reasonably priced and they took such great care of us. If you can request Bishwa as your guide, he will not let you down. For training, there's really nothing you can do to prepare for the elevation. That hits everybody differently. Definitely recommend taking medication such as Diamox to help mitigate the effects. We went on runs, did hikes (in our hiking boots with our packs on) and just tried to get our legs ready. But if you have a perserverant mindset, there will be no issues getting all the way to the end and back!
Haha 😂it is not wanted poster 6:27 in airport but just the member of the airport her picture and number if any problem so that you can contact her with her name
Hi guys, If you dont mind sharing, How much did it end up costing you? I'm saving up to do this from Toronto too, just want to be sure my target is correct!!!
So we booked the flight on points, but the tour inclusive of flights from Kathmandu to/from Lukla, the guide, the porters, all food and drink was $1300 USD per person!

Hi from Kathmandu Nepal 🇳🇵 enjoy in my beautiful country 😊
Thanks for visiting Nepal
I did the day hike to Tiger's Nest in Bhutan and it killed me. You did something I could not do....I admire that. Thank-you for your journey!
Just looked up the hike you did and it looks INCREDIBLE, wow!
Loved this! Going this October, can’t wait!!! Did you guys take Dimox?
Sure did, was tough enough with it, can’t imagine without!
Warm welcome to Nepal friends.
Great vlog...inspired me to accomplish the same.

I wouldn’t have made it that far. Narrow trails clinging on side of the mountain, no thanks.

What sports watch were you wearing that had the altitude on it. I'm going in Nov 2025 and I'm checking out gear
Garmin Fenix 7 Pro Sapphire Solar - a bit of an investment but totally worth it! Didn’t need to charge it the whole trip!

How much did the whole trip cost per person once in Nepal?
Including the trek, all the transportation, guides, food, and lodging in Kathmandu and the trek, I’d say 1500 USD a person
