- As you drive through southern New Mexico you find many signs luring you into the legacy of NASA in the New Mexico desert. However upon arrival to this museum I personally was more than blown away by just what we found. Come explore with me!!

Question of the day: Did you ever want to be an astronaut when you grew up?
Yes. I always wanted to go to space camp after seeing that movie about it. My family never could afford it so I picked up cans with my grandfather, mowed lawns with my older brother and did odd chores for elderly people in my neighborhood to save money to go myself. I worked so hard but never could get enough money together to go. They need a space camp for adults. I know now I could never be an astronaut, but I still would like to do the simulator and the antigravity drills.
I never wanted to an astronaut but my brother did and always shot moon guns at me.

I have been to White Sands and saw signs for this but never made it there thinking it was a a tourist trap. Now I am mad I didn't at least go look into it, this is really cool.
if you are back in the area again.. check it out for sure!!! well worth a stop!!! I was kinda in the same boat.. I had visited with a friend the first time and we saw all sorts of random signs but always thought they looked kinda iffy on it being something big... then when we got there this time I was blown away by how much info was there!!!

I was very concerned not seeing a mask then read the description after remembering you had mentioned you had a few older videos posting. I do hope one day we can all return to a maskless world, it is so wonderful to see your smile as you discover new things. Everyone deserves to smile again so we must control the pandemic! Yes that is the only bad thing about putting content out that I had filmed before. I really go through it in my head of if I should post it or not.. but the places themself are soooo awesome I don't think I can not share them if that makes sense... this is a much older video but I really wanted to at least put it out so people could have a little idea.. my style has changed so much so one day I hope to return and do it more justice!!!
What an interesting place to visit. I recall seeing many of the things inside here on older television programs.
Did you ever see the space chimps by chance? I was going to link a few of the videos they have at the museum but wasn't sure if anyone would be interested in seeing them further. Very fascinating!!
Awesome, I’m going! I had no idea this was here. Usually, I just stop at Lowe’s to use the bathroom and move on :-) Will definitely stop next week.

I was there in August 1977 its a beautiful building with breath taking views looking out
Oh wow!! Such a cool memory from then.... has it changed a lot from what you can see in the video?? I know they have made updates since I filmed so interested to see how it continues to change
@@BunnyPlaysHere the building itself looks the same. On the outside They had an Apollo Launch Escape System tower laying on it's side. An a few other things. They had a ful scale Mercury Capsule trainer which opened on the side. You could walk in and close it. The inside looks 100% different. It was sparsly filled. Most floors you could look out to see the beautiful country side.

this place was pretty interesting as a whole... I went to the base and took a tour which was cool.. then there was another place nearby where they tested some of the original atomic bombs.... this museum ties together several of those points.. I hope to return again to see the updates and share them from what I have been told they are pretty interesting.

I just checked out your video linked about the snow. This area is not one I ever think of snow to be associated with. Thank you for showing both sides of lower New Mexico. Great stuff as always. Hope you and your family are safe and had a wonderful New Year.

I was just about to ask when this was recorded. But then I read the description... lol.
lol... yeah I had a few videos hanging out because I had a hard drive crash and then be able to be recovered.. soooo I decided that they deserved their moment still... over the next month or so I will have a few others that make little sense in the weird world of today... but great locations just the same... the style of shooting very different.. almost cringeworthy.. but ill sprinkle them in with some better quality content...lol

@@VantasticPacifica I just try to always make sure if someone is interested in visiting they have a few bullet points as to a few things.... and if people can’t go they can get an idea as to what it is and get a new brain wrinkle.... life is about enjoying and trying new things and every experience you can learn something from so I just have fun!! Can’t wait to see more of your coming content....

this was filmed before the pandemic... I made sure to put that in the description... I had several videos which were on a hard drive which was corrupted.. I finally was able to recover them and edit the videos.. the location was way to cool not to post even though it has been so long that the equipment and style of shooting is very different now... I hope to revisit in the future and share the updates with the new style to give it another piece of coverage since there isn't much out there about it
