He switched between defense and offense numerous times despite staying on the defensive for 95% of that duel. orrrrr maybe the time he single handedly destroyed Darth Maul and Savage Oppress using the Ataru variant of Jar'Kai? in TCW season 5? he is quite capable of taking the offensive initiative in a fight, but chooses to take the more passive approach more often than not. that doesn't mean he never takes the offensive
