This was the best way to really show the consistency of the 3 types of paint. It is a big key on making or breaking a painting. No one until now has done such a Perfect video as you did. This was wonderful! Thank so much! It made a big difference for me. I love all your colors that you use! This video was so educational and was a great visual. Thank you!

YES!!! Thank you SO much for this comparison video--my paintings have definitely been #1 the too-thin consistency. I prefer the term 'lightning' rather than 'spindly' lol 😁
Now I'm excited to thicken things up for better-shaped cells!

I'm sure if it's a begginer than blow out the 3 pieces we have more difference. 😂 You are so skillful that you are able to adjust the way you blow to get the best result. 😁 A most interesting video with very visual examples. In addition, you generously give of your time, your products $$, to teach us the art of bloom. You are so pleasant to listen to and easy to follow. No matter the length of your videos, I am captivated by what you do or show, how time flies with you!!! 💙💛💙 Thank you sooooo much Lisa Marvin!!🤩

I recently started pouring and learning how to do the Shelee art blooms. The consistency is the hardest to learn and picking the right materials. This video is awesome. I learned a lot. You were very specific in showing and explaining the differences in the paints and consistency. The visuals were great. Thank you.

Most definitely the best consistency vid I’ve seen! And I’ve seen A LOT! Lol. Thank You for putting in the time to show us this. I’m sure for you it’s boring to do these vids since I’m sure you can mix your paints with your eyes closed, but it’s so very helpful for us newbies, so thank u! 🙏

Your go-to is definitely the best looking, I love the lemon sorbet is that a piggy?
I thought my paints were thicker but they all end up looking more like your thin result, hummm. Back to the mixing for me!

They’re all beautiful but the vibrancy of color in the “thick” pour is amazing. Question: In the “Goldilocks” test with the 3 pours, what would you say was the closest to your white paint that you laid down first? This was very helpful it’s getting clearer than mud for me with each video 😂. I haven’t poured yet. Just gathering my materials and hopefully the knowledge. Thank you so much!!

Hello Lisa 🙂 thank you so much for your sharings 🙏 I am in love with your paintings !!! I just wonder how the consistency of the pillow and of the cell activator is the best ?
You may have told about it but I am french and certainly miss some explaination 😏... all the consistencies have to be the same ? Or the cell activator has to be thinner than others ? And what about the pillow ? And the blowing must be important as well I guess. The middle of the puddle first and then a soft blow through the exterior of the canvas ? I hope my questions are quite clear 😀... And I thank a lot everybody who can answering me 🥰 ! Have a nice day 💕

Welcome back, I hope you all had an amazing holiday, with many treasured memories made ✨. Thank you, for this video, the time you spent in filming and editing, the cost of your paints and other products used as well as your time. Time that you have taken away from your own painting and/or time you have sacrificed with family and friends. Just want you to know, that I sincerely appreciate you doing these videos to educate and help all of us, new to bloom technique.
I certainly didn’t like the too thin paint bloom, as it looked a little muddy in some areas and the cells and lacing certainly didn’t hold up. Love, love, love the ‘just right’ bloom and that Lemon Sorbet, definite favourite of mine ♥️. I have a difficult enough time, blowing out a bloom with perfect consistency, no way, could I blow out a thicker one 🤣. Sorry for long comment. Thank you 🙏 ♥️💯♥️💐💐💐💐💐

    Dear Liza
This question is not related to this video, but I thought perhaps you help with this question.
Is house paint used as a base for swipes because of it's thickness or because of it's ingredients? I would also like to know why sometimes your bloom mix seems thicker than others. On Sheelee's videos sometimes it look like she can just pour it out. Oh, by the way thank you for doing the hard and expensive work for us.

I think I may have mentioned this to you before, but………..they have pour spouts for those Behr lids that have that screw off smaller hole. And thank you so much for this. That is the exact PM I use, very thick, but I think Behr is a good brand. And just a thought, beginners, or less……scientific, painters could be looking for their pigs to ‘melt’, or ‘disolve’.

My colors are probably slightly on the thin side but when I blew mine out they wanted to almost come back in on itself. Idk if u know what I mean. I didn’t use a lot of the colors bc it was a small test and probably used to much pillow. How to thicken my pillow up ? I am using Glidden premium white in eggshell. Also would love to see what the different cell activators would do to thin to thick and just right! Thanks so much also when u do your drip test can u try also using a very small amount bc I don’t mix up that much of each color bc I don’t want a ton leftovers. Also wow that behr is sooo thick compared to my valspar. To thicken my paints should I just add more color

This was very helpful! I took the sheleeart class and this is a great augmenter to that! I have made the mistake of too thick and too thin paints... one thing also about too thin that I didnt realize but shelee told me was that the extra jo sonja can cause cracking/crazing!! It was happening to me along with the squiggly wonky cells! So that would be another reason not to go too thin! Always err on the side of thicker if you are going to err 😂😂

Great video on consistency. You can really tell the difference in the cells and how the paints blew out. Personally, I don’t like the “too thin” look. The Goldilocks one is gorgeous of course. The “too thick” one has its place- it had great cells and a cool softening of colors around the edges. Thanks for taking the time to show us what can happen depending on consistency. ❤️
