No LED headlights, carbon ceramic brakes, 3D sound system, heads-up display, sport seats and the comfort seats don't have massage... its crazy that some E350 and E450 will pass by with more options.
This is my first experience with carbon ceramic brakes and I'm not a fan of them . I have them on a Brabus edition '18 E Class and the light load/cold braking noise is a major disappointment. Even worse is the required warm-up from hard heavy braking to get rid of the noise. The trade-off for this kind of braking performance and looks even aren't worth it too me.
Rumor is a proper AMG version of the I6 is coming to replace this. Such a setup would be lighter than the V8 hybrid setup in the AMG GT 4D and the S63, but it would still be heavier than the V8, if they pair the I6 with the AMG hybrid setup. We will know in about a year or so.
Definitely a mistake. They could incorporate the electric power into the v8s with hybrid power. Going to these smaller engines that sound terrible with electric motors carrying the drivetrain like the new C63 is heartbreaking.
I mean to each his own but 169k ??? Yikes 100k no problem but wow…..powertrain is awesome and looks are subjective. Interior is meh. I will end with “only looks a mother would love…at that price”
Huge AMG fan here having a previous E55 AMG. So sad to see this huge strategic mistake by MB Amg whose DNA is literally born from hot rodding standard Merc V8’s in the 1970’s. The CEO of Stalantis is making the same error with Dodge killing the HEMI, and going all or mostly Electric in North America. I’ve already moved on to owning BMW’s with V8’s augmented by electric powertrains. RIP AMG it was a fantastic run.
This is one of my favorite cars, and yes I believe discontinuing the V8 is a mistake.
At least the new S63 will still retain the V8 but obviously it’s a hybrid.
You don't know how much I miss seeing that 4.0L twin turbo V8 under the hood of a proper Mercedes-AMG car.

It is a mistake but it is probably going to a hybrid V6 engine. At least, I hope. C63 4-Cil hybrid. E63 V6 hybrid. And S63 V8 hybrid
