Amazing reviews, thank you very much! Just a little tip from a German, the driving settings on the left wheel button are customizable! You can not only activate or deactivate the two settings that are displayed, but you can change both to whatever engine setting you prefer on your steering wheel. Simply click the display and toggle through the options

22:18 One point of regression on MBUX is the shrunk down Apple CarPlay screen. In the previous E class, the CarPlay interface fills up the whole 12.3 inch screen instead of being shrunk down to the middle in MBUX. Given that Apple CarPlay is such an important function that I use every time, I think this point alone maybe the deal breaker for some people.
I noticed that too! That was hard believe. One of the best parts of the car was that 12.3 inch display filled with CarPlay! Having it full screen looks soooo much better. The 2021 (facelift) is quieter, no IWC clock in the dash, missing under dash 12v outlet, can’t have the performance seats in the US, a lot of people don’t like the steering wheel, a lot of 2021 are missing other options and features do to supply chain shortages too and more.

Yes! What's up with the brands (Mercedes & BMW) with these oversized ugly a$$ grills? This one isn't nearly as bad as what BMW did to the M3 & M4. I hope for their sake, they get rid of them. I haven't spoken to a single person who likes them.

This car is more comfor than new M5... new M5 is more stiffer than e63s I watch the video.
Merc is find perfect middle between sport+ and comfort and yes interior is much cooler than M5... BMW had the same interior looks for a decades and this E class looks much aggressive and I love it👌
If you change amg dynamics settings on the steering you will get the feedback you want. Likely.

Good Video. How do you activate the Rear Only Drift mode on this car?
Rear only drive mode is activated by going to race mode, holding traction control until it’s off, putting the transmission in manual, pulling both paddles at the same time, then confirming by pulling the right paddle.

Great review. Two questions to follow up:
1) Which is the more comfortable ride, 2021 M5 Comp or the E63s?
2) Which of the two would you recommend overall?
I haven’t driven the 2021 M5, just the 2020 but I would lean slightly towards the M5. Ride quality is similar to the E63, but I prefer the M5’s steering feel
I watch the video new M5 is stiffer than new E63s... better option is e-class, because now had perfect middle bettwen comfort and sport+ and you feel it the diffirient... and when you drive or crousing 200 km/h you have a feel like you dont go anywhere (stand in the same place). I watch a lot videos about new M5 and new E63s.

I don't know why, but most Mercedes models in the U.S. that have a white strip in the tail lights are not used as amber turn signals. But in other countries, it is used as the amber turn signal.
They are finally going back to amber in that white strip. Starting with this new E class refresh and the GLA redesign. Hope it carries through to the rest of their models in the future!
I think car regulations, I always wondered why american cars always have that amber light, til I found out that their regulations say so, thats why german cars from america have that amber unlike european cars

A friend of mine in the UK, put his E63s 2019 year on a rolling road. The 612 BHP (PS) figure is a massive understatement. The graph print out showed it was putting out 657 BHP(PS).
They underrate this for emissions and no gas guzzler tax on it lol

How come this one doesn't have the sports/performance seats? It's not showing on MBUSA either but i have seen some reviews where they do have it though so bit confused. Would really appreciate it if you can answer this.
MBUSA got rid of the Sport Seats for the E53 AMG in the US, it was available before this facelift. Maybe they have gotten rid of them for the E63 as well, since even this "Edition 1" model does not have it.
The sport seats are not showing on the E63 2021 Config site on MBUSA, which opened up today...so there you go
They also got rid of the "Burmester High-End" system for the 2021 E450, you can only get it now in the AMG models for 2021

@Sayem AK but they're not showing on MBUSA when building the car. They look really nice and i actually heard they can be pretty comfortable too..depends on the person i guess.
They don’t sell the performance seats on 2021 E 63 S in the USA. 2020 was the last year of the performance seats for the E 63 S in the US. They still sell them in Europe in the 2021. Mercedes said if they have enough interest they will bring them back to the US.

Remember when the E class actually looked different from the rest of the Mercedes-Benz models. Now it's just a fat C-class and a skinny S-class.

You can clearly tell the difference, there are two bulbs here which represents E and the rear light are slimmer than the s class rear lights. Stop complaining

This car doesn’t compete with the RS7 or Panamera. It competes with the RS6. You car journalists kill me when you can’t get segments right.
The RS6 is only available as a wagon here in the US, so the sedan version competes with the RS7.

@@bwmim9709 depends, I prefer the more subtle approach of the m5/ more traditional gauge vs all screen on the Mercedes. But if someone prefers a more in your face design then the merc works very great
I like the subtle previous generation..and plus ➕️ keep the steering wheel..they ruin this mid refresh b4 the new model comes in..all the rivals gonna catch the same fate with polarizing redesigns as it goin to rid of the combustion engines and goin to mild to full electrification..hideous times are coming😐

Big bottle test? Why? Why do you need a big bottle? See this is why my 2021 GLS 580 has completely useless cup holders! Way too big, everything just falls over. Now you HAVE TO have a big bottle. Not a fan.
I’m pretty sure those cup holders in the GLS 580 have a pop-out to accommodate smaller bottles. I just drink a lot of water and prefer to not have to fill it up 5X a day
@@MilesPerHr I think it's an American thing. We have larger cups and bottles for sure. It's one of the best features of this channel- the little details that most reviewers dismiss, or are too lazy to explore.

to be honest I like the 2018-2020 model better. The front grill was more subtle and it feels like they were design with the drive experience and performance in mind. This new 2021 model is more stupid computer gimmicks and excessive luxury crap compared to its previous models. The front grill is stupidly designed and obnoxious.
