Moving to the Philippines getting married and building a house you never will own is just crazy Most men move to the philippines to take control of there lives and be happy But as soon as they arrive they want to get married and lose control of everything again. Stay in your own country if your just going to duplicate the same mistakes you made in the philippines
Yea you can definitely get away with not getting married here, but I would say that filipinas still want to be married, especially church going filipinas. Shes gonna ask you "whats your plan for me?". If you choose not to marry her she will most likely accept the situation only because you are her best option, but in reality deep down she wont be happy and will feel pressure/shame from family and fellow church members. Of course if you are dealing with a "liberated" filipina then none of this applies. Unfortunately most guys tend to want "province girls", and those girls tend to be the traditional ones who still want/value marriage. As always there are exceptions to the rule. Tread carefully.
@@calroach1 Im not married but thats my choice just like its every other mans choice. I also dont have a live-in but thats beside the point. My comment is just highlighting the fact that most filipinas ive dealt with here would prefer to get married. My first trip here was 2009 so ive dated a lot. Of course some would accept a different arrangement but that doesnt mean theyre happy with it. Once u tell them you dont want to get married be ready to experience a change in attitude and behavior. Ive also experienced the "liberated" ones who didnt care about that. Of course thats just my experience. Guys have to be careful with painting all filipinas or all foreigners with the same brush. We and They are not all the same. Your experience may be totally different from mine. So again.....tread carefully.

Yea. That hit me man. At 50-65% divorce (I’m going thru my 2nd) you see with your own eyes and live with your own heart that there is a reality to all this. A gambler knows that the house always wins. Yes, even in the Philippines. They just call them annulments. And plenty of vlogs with western men divorced from what they thought would be different. I’m 62 next year and thinking about the peace and sensuality of a rental relationship.
@@calroach1 I'm divorced. Was married to a Filipina before. It lasted until our kids were in their late teens. So no custody/child support drama. I'm proud to say that my kids grew up in a home where everyone had the same last name. That's how I was raised. I hope they can pass this family dynamic to their children. I'll try marriage again. Tubes tied so no more kids.
Don't do what I did folks, divorced (2 kids) after nearly 8 years of marriage to Jamaican 9 yrs younger. Separated for a year, divorced remarried in a month to Ethopian 15 yrs younger now with 3 more kids 10, 13, 16 and my dumbass at 57 this year! Been married 20 years next year! Lol
You definitely don't have to get married to the girls there. However I do see most of the ladies trying to pressure there guys into marriage. Just stand your ground if you don't want the get married!
Was married for 30 years before ex decided she wanted to live apart. I said no she filed for divorce I never thought she was capable of doing that. Wrote a big check but kept my house , car and all possessions. Lawyers stretched out the divorce for 4 years. Took years to get over the divorce and will never marry again. Can’t trust anyone anymore. Have been dating both in the US and the Philippines. I feel a lot of love from my Pinay she wants to get married but understands my feelings. Tried for a visiting visa but she was denied. Commuting to Cebu isn’t a fun trip. Long term residents isn’t an option at this time. I have more fun in the Philippines but it isn’t the same lifestyle. At this point just living day to day trying to figure out the future is a fools folly .
Just wondering if this decrease in matrimony is also this way in the province. I remember signing a marriage agreement in 2001 before getting married to my wife. A Philippine legal document.
I have an objection brotha Cal, but there's no need to assert it bcuz you've hung your hat on both arguments. So you win the argument of who benefits more or less from marriage bcuz you've got em both covered....this despite your inability to even enter a marriage at this point. Thanks for the video.
Maybe for the older dudes but at my age the girls still want marriage. My current girlfriend was very adament about that from day one we started dating, which I'm not opposed to the idea of if its in PH only, I told her I'm not going back to the US LOL. But I think its the older guys that are of retirement age that the women are not in a rush to marry and understandably so, some dudes only got a good 10-15 yrs left in them haha
No matter what, do not do it. Do not get married under any circumstances. The reason why she wants to get married is because she knows that she will win all sorts of cash and prizes if she decides to leave. Remember this, women initiate divorce and leave 80% of the time. You will gain absolutely nothing from getting married other than huge legal and financial liabilities. The woman you married is not the same who will divorce you. Marriage is like putting a loaded gun on someone else's hand and telling them if they are ever unhappy with you to shoot you. Don't do it.

A 4-pint bottle of milk costs £1.45 here in Wales. Not free, but not too bad.
Yea, not bad at all.
To me that's all that marriage is just renting each other especially here in the states with almost a 50% divorce rate

In the states it’s like renting a private jet 🛩️. Big, big money. 💰 💸💸💸

I tend to believe that all women, including Filipinas, would rather be a wife than a Baby Moma. But, I could be wrong.
Less and less people are getting married today. Are you married?
Valid opinion for sure! But the facts on the ground here suggest that the families are getting started outside of marriage.
