Nice looking setup there. Terminal tackle can be a huge pain in the ass for me to keep organized

Great video and timely given all the social distancing we are being encouraged to employ, I am headed down to the man cave today to work in my tackle room to get my stuff organized for the coming season. Today is tackle day for me. Rods and reels coming up next weekend. Two quick questions. 1) with the weighted wacky heads, I have always been a split shot up the line guy because I have felt that with the weight on the hook that it would be immediately noticeable to the fish when they pick up the bait. Is that your experience with using hooks with weights on them, ie do you get/notice less bites?? 2) with the cover shot hooks, what is you like about them more than say nose hooking using an owner finesse hook? Thanks again, as always, great relevant interesting content.

I like to use weighted wacky hooks in two situations. One, when I'm fishing a plastic that doesn't have a good sink rate. Like a yum singer or a lighter straight tail worm. Not all plastics sink as nice as a senko. Two, when I want to fish deeper weedlines and I don't want to wait for the bait to get down into the strike zone.

@@PunchFishing have you noticed a difference in the hook up ratio of fishing using this method or reduction in the number of bites due to the weight being so close to the worm??

@@PunchFishing I had watched that video. More curious on your take. Do you still use the traditional finesse hook or exclusively the cover shot hook??

Any 7' to 7'4 medium power spinning rod should work. That's what I use.
