Im actually using Milwaukee packout tool boxes as tackle boxes 😂🤘🏻🎣

I got two tips for ya
      1) Plano Crankbait Organizers, you’ll love them, multiple sizes
      2) For most of my hard bait boxes, I take out the dividers so they’re either all vertical or horizontal. I’m ok with the few seconds it takes to get hooks untangled when you can fit almost twice as many baits than with dividers. And if you want the best of both worlds, refer to #1 👍🏼

@@msquared9605 hahaha surprisingly the packout’s work pretty well in terms of being a tackle box (at least for me 😂) i got a few different sizes and am able to keep things rather organized, I do have a plano box that I use for terminal tackle!! 😂👍🏻🎣

@@laurencarlson8420 I’ve been doing that too! Was using my stepdad’s stuff and then I didn’t go for a couple years, got back into it about a year or 2 ago and had to start from scratch! this time I’m also actually paying attention to what I’m using too and not just throwing whatever lure with whatever rod and whatever line 😂

I have two places where I store most of my tackle. Either stuck in a submerged log in my favourite pond, or jammed inbetween two rocks in the river. Only problem is that it's quite difficult to use them at that point.

Funny thing about that: I'm living in Europe, Germany. We use the same kind of storaging stuff like you do - underwater logs, rocks, embankments, high in the trees at the waterside, deep inside reed, etc., etc... I guess, it's no matter of location or culture: it's the universal way to store favorite tackle at the banks and shores all over the world! :D :D :D

I’ve made it as far as having small finesse and ultralight in its own container. Every time I try to downsize, I end up saying “I need that, oh definitely need that, this will be useful some day…” and end up only taking out 3 used Senko’s.

Being a bank fishing guy, I carry a tackle backpack so I have 3 Plano Edge 3600s for my day to day stuff. Love those boxes! I love sorting and re-sorting my tackle (my ADHD goes into high gear when it comes to my fishing stuff!). Don't have nearly as much as you but I still gotta keep it organized. Love this type of video!

As a bank fisherman I prefer to keep my load light. I have the tackle I have in a couple of storage boxes and keep one large and one small in my bag. I usually load out depending on where I'm going.

I use Hefty brand Hi-Rise 18qt plastic boxes to store soft plastics. One each for worms, swim, creatures, and terminal packs. I use 3600 size for hard baits based on depth. I also keep a milk crate in the truck of boxes and one or two empty 3600 boxes to pull and pack when I get to the water and judge water conditions. I pull what I need based on clarity and conditions, aiming to take only 2 3600 boxes out at a time and assorted soft tackle on a modest sized bag. I also take a small double sided Plano box with hooks and neds (because I'm a Ned nerd.). Keeps the load light at the shore and on the kayak and allows me to focus on a technique when I want to.

I also have the giant bass pro bag lol I'm beating the bank most of the time so I bring a backpack with a plano edge terminal tackle box and I fill another box with the hard baits I think I may use given the conditions. I bring one of the 6th sense bags with the soft plastics I plan on using, when I get back everything goes back into it's specific box. My gf doesn't understand why I have all these tackle boxes full of tackle when I only bring 2 boxes everytime lol I'm just prepping for the boat I'm going to get one day

In my bank backpack, I have 4 boxes. Terminal, jig/chatterbait, cranking, spinner bait. Than with plastics, I’ll take the three or four colors I have of each style, and mix and match the bags(keeping brands together) so instead of 20 bags of plastics, I only have 8. Granted I usually only get a hour or so to usually fish, so running out of the color that is fire doesn’t matter.

I manage my tackle like this
I typically fish at about 3/4 different places close to home. I take tackle based on water color water temp and over cast . If I’m fishing dirty water I’ll take lures that correspond. Like thiolate worms or big bite baits 4.25” kamikazee. I’ll take a heddon top water in a flashy yet translucent color .
My personal favorite bag is a Plano guide series 3500

Hey jeff, help! I love when you and Paul do organizational vids. Two years ago grabbed the lews Mach backpack for my pond prowler boat bag. It was good but not quite big enough. Last year went to the bass pro magnum bag. Big, but I always keep a deep Plano container with some musky lures in it, plus my bass stuff. The problem is I also want to keep my soft plastics in the bag. Thinking of a couple more deep 3700 boxes for them. Am I crazy? It’s literally the opposite progression that you are doing 😂 I keep downsizing by bringing more stuff 🧐😆

When it comes to soft baits, don’t be afraid to mix and match all in one bag. Obviously keep all kinds of elaztech separate but other than that, if they’re similar colors even of different baits, I put them together. And I hear ya about clam shells, I usually take them out of the shells and put them in the bag. Except for boot tails and flukes. But when baits like the stroker craw, prawn, krackin craw and bandits bug come in clam shells, it just pisses me off

I am as streamlined as I think ill ever be :
1 - 3500 box for all my weights and some random stuff like beads, stopper, clips and swivel
2 - 3600 edge terminal for all my hooks
3 to 6 - four 3601 plano regular box per specie (trout fishing, walleye, pike, smallmouth), every hardbait has to fit in one box so no carrying 30 jerkbaits that im not gonna use anyway, only the most versatile stuff
A small bag with softbait, usually two color of each : swimbait, senko, tube, finesse trd
Random stuff in side pocket like tools and a small spool of fluoro
Everything fit in a small bag

Do you bring extra tiny tackle to the water? Like swivels, snaps, rig rings, glass pearls, etc.? How do you store that kind of stuff?
How about pre fab rigs like drop shot rigs? Do you make them onbord? Do you carry rigs seperat from your rods? How?
I's like to see your solutions for this kind of stuff. Would you show occasionally?
    Greetings from Germany,
    Pete

      @aaanglers  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

I keep some of that stuff in my buzbe terminal box. No pre rigged drop shots. I rig those on my boat as needed. I just bring a ton of terminal to make any rigs I need.

What size weights fit in the different size Plano weight containers?

    • @aaanglers
