Weymouth Christmas Day Harbour Swim 2023

Each year, hundreds of people turn out on Christmas Day for a dip in Weymouth Harbour. The event is organised by the Weymouth and a Portland Lions Club, and as well as raising funds for charity is a great watch.
Apologies if the footage is a little shaky - it was packed, and I had my miniature dachshund with me so couldn’t get too close to the action.

Some brave souls .. well done everybody.
There are a couple of 'festive swims' near where I live in the North East .. one on Boxing Day at Tynemouth and the other, on New Year's Day in my home town of Whitley Bay. Both are always very well supported.
