      I have ordered 3 slide stops from your store Lenny! One for the G19 and 2 for my 43x’s. Love all of them, just adds the extra level of manipulation and comfort. P.s. you are the Glock master instructor. You give us all the confidence to tackle these jobs on our own, thank you.

      @@2ndchance632 you have to preorder to try and beat the rush. People are still buying parts and firearms at record numbers, and the current president's gun grabbing attempts have just fueled that even more. I say with all hope and help, PREORDER.

      Already using an extended slide stop, it's much better for me using a Gen 3 G26 as a lefty.

    I put the extended slide stop on all my Glocks they were a great addition. They make it so easy to manipulate the slide. I also put the extended slide lock on all my Glocks. They make take down so much easier. I highly recommend both of these parts. Thanks Lenny & GS.

    • @VTtac802
      @VTtac802 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Ray Denno I totally agree with you. The pin is some what difficult to put back in, it helps to wiggle it slightly while lifting the slide release a little. It makes manipulation of the pistol much easier. Night sights are a must too. Thanks

    I ended up choosing Tango Down slide stop.
    It has grip and works better than the 3 other slide stops I bought.

  • @timeecho1

    I use the extended stops from Ghost. They have a nice big bullet style nub. extended Slides are a must. the Stock ones are a joke.
    I think its important to note to feed the trigger pin in from the Starboard side. I dont know why but its more successful.
    Pins still can walk so I check mine regularly.
    The Kagworks are popular but butt ugly.

    I put an extended slide stop on my glocks. Did you know the gen 4 type will drop right into a gen 5? Nothing to change. Just remove the ambidextrous slide stop and put in the old style. Works perfect 😊

    I just completed this upgrade for my new Gen 3 G19. The gun was so stiff it hurt my thumb to release the slide. I also upgraded the mag release to the extended one. That solve the other problem I had with the gun. Very easy to install both. I oiled the gun while I had it apart and it all works much better. I am now happy with my new G19.

    Very informative video tutorial. I put on 3 of 4 extended slide stops just letting the video run its course. Between those and putting my last extend mag release on my OD 26 I feel my day has been completed most satisfactory. 😊 Fiber optic/tritium night sights, lights, SS match barrels, tungsten guide rod, both extended mag releases and slide stops. Good. To. Go. ❤. Thank you Lenny and GS for sharing your wisdom and knowledge.

    In all my law enforcement firearms training, we are trained not to use the slide stop to drop the slide to load the firearm. Glock model 21 is the one we carry. The slide stop is more so there to manually lock the slide back with no magazine. As for our reloading, reach over top of slide and quickly work the action even if the slide is already back. Just my two cents. Best advice is to train and practice as you’re going to be doing on duty or EDC. Have a Blessed Day

    • @Mockturtlesoup1
      @Mockturtlesoup1 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, I don't use the slide stop as a slide release either. I don't think it's "wrong" to use it that way(in fact it's certainly faster, assuming everything goes right), but to me it's just simpler, less complicated, less to think about, etc.

      Back in the day it was taught to just use the slide stop. For those that have been around in law enforcement a little longer, or for those who were trained in the military years ago, using the slide stop became natural habit and stayed with them. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. I don't see anything wrong with teaching new people the slide rack method, but for old dogs, learning new tricks tends to become more of a problem than it's worth.

    I actually prefer the stock slide stops. I have a high grip with my support hand so my grip actuates the extended controls and I'll have the slide lock back unintentionally. I do like the extended mag release and slide lock.

    • @douglasphillips24
      @douglasphillips24 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Agree💯. I learned that the hard way & after shooting thousands of rounds for years I hate extended controls & my Glock 45 stock slide stop engages sometimes with my high grip so I must stick my thumb up to avoid locking back during shooting.

    Your store installed one of these on my Gen4 G41. Quit locking the slide back after 50 or so rounds. It’s a safe gun so I wasn’t aware of the problem in a timely manner. Your counter man said it’s a known defect and they just don’t work in the large frame blocks. Wouldn’t do anything about it.

  • @CycloneGunworks
    @CycloneGunworks 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    2 big considerations for those considering purchasing this. 1 the best way to be used is drememling off the old slide stop shelf polymer so I'd doesn't impeded. 2nd it can definetely scratch the hell out of your slide ,creating an unsightly scratch h about 2in long.

  • @secritsquirrel4994
    @secritsquirrel4994 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    My biggest issue with my G19 is in fact the placement of the slide stop. I have big hands, and have to constantly be aware of my grip because I at some point will unintentionally thumb the slide stop and it doesn't lock back on the last round. In fact I've been thinking about milling the external slide stop off. Maybe this will be a good mod.

      I think you'd needed to do over the top for reloading though the OEM extended stop may help you try to drop the slide with your index finger. I'd test that on a glock with one installed if you can.
      Though if you are very worried about being able to reload with one hand you may want to look into a gun with an ambi slide stop or a revolver since the reloads are very different.

    Absolutely Hate extended controls. Gaston made low profile controls for a reason to not accidentally engage mag release or slide stop while in a defense situation. Glock actually recommends not using the slide stop to release slide on loaded mag but use over the top hand to pull slide back letting the slide go into battery.

    Sure Lenny, last time I got the kit from you for $60 with delivery, the extended slide release part that holds the spring sheared off after 40 rounds... Then your customer service jacked me for $8 shipping. It took 28 days for you guys to refund my $52... Just on principle I am disputing the $8 bucks with my credit card company. Your employees should have taken my advice and just replaced the one defective part instead of making me send the entire kit back. Got one from FleaBay instead for $10 bucks that still functions after hundreds of rounds.

      If anyone can confirm the us ones are as reliable as these then there you have it
