try pinch and than order a new one.I am a GG2 user since 2011,after that I never though change my belay device(have a BD atc guide also). but this time I upgrade GG2 :)
@@SeekOutTheAdventure That's great to hear! I've actually ordered one based on your video, so was just curious to see how it has held up in the time you have had it. There is still very little info on the bag, though Edelrid have added a few more pictures of it on their site now. Your video is what made me decide to order it though. Thanks!
It sounds crazy to me to put the pinch directly on the harness and there is a button on the side to open it up. There needs to be added security with that button.
@@SeekOutTheAdventure You can add a carabiner to the back of the loop after you attach it directly to your harness for a secure attachment. It's in the instruction manual on one of the 3 ways to use it. You did it on the 5:10 mark.
It has, although that might not have been that clear from this video. It is blocked from opening when the wider part of the belay loop covers it, meaning you have to turn it side ways first (if that makes sense, bit hard to explain in just words). I saw in an interview with someone from Edelrid that earlier prototypes had a different security layer instead but made this tradeoff to keep opening it sane enough for practical use.
How does it works for rappeling
unfortunately, I didn't have time to try it out on rappel.

Can you compare the pinch and the neox?
I definitely want to. I just need to get my hands on the pinch again.
Any update on a thicker 9.8ish rope you wanted to try out?
No. not yet. I only had the Pinch for that one day. I need to get my hands on the device again for further testing.
Hey, are you still using the Edelrid Rope Rider bag you made a video on a couple of years ago?
Yes. we are. My wife has actually adopted it as her go-to outdoor crag bag.

@@RedPhoneBox I'm psyched to hear that it helped you decide on what to get.

@@AW-po7jr it is a little unnerving.

the gri gri in this video is much more "worn" than the pinch
Shouldn't really matter, right?
