Koh Sichang is pretty special for such a small island and real hidden gem. The famed teak wood palace - Vimanmek Mansion - used to stand there and you can still visit the foundations. They dismantled the whole palace in 1900 and moved it to Bangkok's Dusit. There's also the local Chinese temple, which attracts thousands during the Chinese New Year. What this place lacks in beaches it makes up for in history and ambiance.
On, April, the 6th,two years ago, in 2019, a German student, 26 years old, her name was Miriam, she climbed the stairs to the small temple, she didn't realize that a young Thai man was following her. Under the influence of YaBa, he killed the 26-year-old young German student,with a stone. The young Thai was sentenced to death, but the young woman couldn't go back to her family. When, I hear about Ko Si Chang, I think back to 06/04/2019! She may rest in peace

She denied/refused, the man was upset, took a stone and killed her at 3pm on the temple area. Later the murderer's mother asked for to forgive him...
