This is a great video to share with learning crocheters. I showed it to a gal who told me she wants to learn to crochet and she was very excited about how clearly she could follow it. Thank you, Jayda.
Linda Schultz I said the same thing to Jayda when we all voted. I voted for an ornament. I thought it would be so cute to crochet one for each family member and then put their name on them. We can still do it with the present! 😀🎄
Marie Reed my idea exactly. This way when the grandkids have their first Christmas tree they will have their very first ornaments to start with. 😁😉 Did this for my kids and nieces and nephews and the kids tell me they all still use those ornaments every year.
Guesd what my hubby & I got for Christmas??? WE ARE GOING TO GRANDPARENTS AGAIN!!!!! God Blees there hearts they'll only be 15 months apart!! I guess I'll be making quite a few. 😘
This is too cute. You could make two of them stitched together with an opening at the top. Then insert gift card or $$$$$‼️🌈😀. Thank you for showing us this neat little thing. So many uses!!!! I am going to make some!!!😀😀😀😀😀🌈‼️ You and Mr. Institches Rock!!😀😀🌈‼️
Hi Frances!! TOTALLY! You could even sew 2 together and add a length of "ribbon" on each side and tie an actual bow :) That would help keep the gift inside too!
Such a cute idea can't wait to try it. It would be fun to make Christmas present boxes too. :) See you later at your LIVE CROCHET PARTY. 4PM west coast time, I think. Take care, jlee x
#JaydaInStitches these are adorable! I think I'm going to make 2 sides and slip stitch them together and use them as gift card holders. I have 4 or 5 - maybe even 6 gift cards to give out. I forgot how big you said these were.. I'll just measure the gift cards and crochet accordingly. Thanks for the cute idea. I think I'll even make the one sided ones as ornaments for the tree! 🌲
@Kathleen Vassallo I was thinking the same thing about making it into a gift card holder. But idk how to make a pocket. I was actually not really thinking of a pocket tho, more like making a whole other side and have the card just slip into it through the top. But idk how to do that either☹️
I suppose I could make 2 of the rectangles and slip stitch the 3 sides together. Wish I had some sparkle yarn. Gonna have to get some today. I have at least 4 or 5 gift cards to give. You could also fold up some money and slide it in there too
Jamie Faith Yott what I would do personally is crochet two presents but only one ribbon and stitching them together on the sides and bottom leaving the top open to slip in the card like you said And optional is attaching some yarn at the top so then it could be attached to a tree so the person can use it after. I hope I explained myself alright. I’m sick so my head is a bit foggy
@@masuganut2082 Yes, you explained it right. I had the exact same idea [you must have missed my comment above yours.] I need to buy gift cards for about 5 or 6 ppl, so I think these would be perfect! Hope you feel better soon. Rest... They say when your body is fully rested, it helps to fight off a cold/flu. Oh, and some vitamin C wouldn't hurt. Take one every day!
Wow, love this pattern. Be great on my ugly sweater. But really looks cool. Made a brick crochet sweater with fire logs for arms. Lol. Happy Holiday's. God bless. You Rock.
Hi Jasmine! Coasters, appliques, gift tag, tree ornament, bunting, gift card holder... :) There are so many little ways you could use it - I think they make lovely little gifts :) Thank you for watching!
Thank you for sharing even could do small bags for christmas.use instead of reping papers good for I he invierment also you can undo and reuse the yarn
Yeah how would you embroider something like "Babies 1st Christmas" Or "Our First Christmas" or even family name "Diaz 2018" that would be soo cool.. Or "Jayda Loves Mr. In Stitches" LOL
If you thread your needle with both ends of the thread through the eye, you can put the needle through the piece and put it through the loop of the thread. Way more secure than a knot.
Hi, as a newbie to crochet, I find your methods and videos fantastic to watch and follow. I will certainly be doing these pressie boxes. To continue along with the Christmas theme, I have searched the youtube videos but unable to find any crochet versions to follow of a Christmas pudding. I was hoping to do a coaster, as well as a bauble for the tree. Could you possibly help me on this please? Would be very much appreciated.. Tracy 😃
Hi Zenaida, if you wanted to use this pattern as an applique for an acrylic project, then making it in acrylic would be fine. If you're going to use it as a coaster, a hot mug probably won't melt your acrylic, but it will flatten it and make it look sort of tired and worn out :)
Hi Carole, Thank you for watching 😊 Yes! We have a written pattern available in our Etsy shop, you'll find the link to our shop in the description box below the video 💗
Sorry this comment isn't about the coaster . Jayda I know I made a granny square stocking ornament from one of you videos , but was in one of your vlogs ? I can't seem to find it , and I'd like to make more for my tree .
Hi Jackie, we did that little stocking on a vlog. If you need the granny hexagon tutorial again you can find that here: th-cam.com/video/9TuXDDg6C8s/w-d-xo.html the Party Live Stream we made it in is here: th-cam.com/video/YnH2gw3PZt0/w-d-xo.html :)

I bet you could sew two of these together to make a miniature gift bag.

Thank you for the suggestion, Wanda!
Yeah how would you embroider something like "Babies 1st Christmas" Or "Our First Christmas" or even family name "Diaz 2018" that would be soo cool.. Or "Jayda Loves Mr. In Stitches" LOL
Hi Debi! I think Diaz 2018 would fit neatly :) You could use embroidery thread and a needle (it's a little more precise).
Was wondering if u could do a santa face ornament were u can put a picture in it
Thank you for the suggestion :)

Any chance of a balloon coaster to pair with this to create an Animal Crossing bunting? 🎁🎈 🙏
oooh! I like that idea...!
Do you know where I can find the white cotton yarn with the sparkles in it?
Hi Kathy, that is Bernat Holiday Cotton in white - typically they bring it out around this time of year. I originally found mine at a Walmart :)
Thanks. I’ll have to check next year.
Hey what size ply is the cotton yarn please
Hi Stephanie, the materials are mentioned at the beginning - I used size 4 medium weight yarn for this. I think that equates to a 10 ply yarn 😊
