His body was discovered buried beneath a concrete slab in Laurie Shaver’s backyard. In a shocking twist, the couple’s daughter confessed to the crime, claiming she shot her father to protect her mother, who allegedly said he was abusing her at the time. This prosecutor has done an excellent job at presenting the case in a very organized manner. I came with no prior knowledge of the case, and don’t see any way to a verdict of not guilty. The evidence is overwhelming!
Agree! Evidence so far (watching day 4 now) is overwhelming. Facts are clear and not in her favor. I want to listen to her defense, but if she's going to say her 7 yo did it, and she hid it from everyone and didnt go to police, Wow! She's a piece of work. No one will believe that.

Testifying = HUGE MISTAKE.
Defendants testifying usually backfires. It's the prosecution's job to prove its case and defendants taking the stand usually make their job easier. Occasionally it's in the defendant's best interests to take the stand, but not often.

BUT REMAINED on the rural property where the body was buried. . .SHE STATED when they moved she had STOPPED using Michael's cell, lap top, tablet. . .why all the TECH , IP addresses? ? YET, she was pretending to BE Michael destroying all her man-with-benefits, family and relationships. Yet, she stated SHE HAD HER PARENTS (New York) on her cell phone party line and her internet IP's and the whole neighborhood had Michael & her computer, cell phone IP's numbers? ? ? I WAS READING THE ROLLING COMMENTS ABOUT THE Defense Lawyer asking THEIR TECH'S--questions and IP's and etc. :) :)

She first said she did not do much with her dad because he worked nights, but then at the end said "we went hunting and shoot alot. And the way she said that last sentence i believe it but nothing else she said. So sad

Here’s the catch: If it was so early in the morning when her daughter admitted shooting her dad in the head, *How, Where did Jeremy come from in time to snatch the the gun from her daughter’s hand and then shoot her husband again? She mentions getting up, preparing breakfast and readying them for school. No mention of Jeremy being in the house. She acknowledges her husband sitting in the porch where arguments flair up over her getting pregnant from Jeremy. Inconsistent testimony…dots don’t match her testimony. Definitely an interesting story (trial). Not to be bias but she was sleeping with multiple men….Wow!
I would expect neighbours to call the police after hearing gunshots. Jeremy's arrival "just in time" is the sort of thing that happens in movies, not real life.
The Prosecution asked MY QUESTION? How did Michael get there when his car was on the property with bent rim so air wouldn't stay in tire? PUT SPARE TIRE/RIM on and call a garage to replace a Tire on the spare tire rim! He was staying in an air plane hanger? NO VEHICLE! ! How did Michael walk all that way in (t-shirt), boxer shorts and socks (no shoes). Where's the phone records between Michael and Laurie IF HE WAS CALLING HER ALL THE TIME AND HER TELLING HIM SHE WAS PREGNANT WITH Jereme's child? ? ?

This trial has been brilliant maneuvering by both attorneys. Well matched! It’s very hard to prosecute after so much time and cover up. I’m very impressed.

Seen is only used with a third person pronoun and a helping verb, such as "she could have seen him from the window". Using "seen" is grammatically incorrect, but worse, it sounds ignorant.
