    Initially, I purchased the Mpow Flame, and subsequently acquired the Flame 2. I was impressed by the sound quality. However, after they broke, I switched to the Lenovo LP7 and was disappointed with both the sound quality and microphone. So I have now ordered the Flame Solo. My primary reason for not opting for the Lite version is due to its touch controls. I am optimistic that the Flame 2 and Solo will possess comparable sound quality.

    I had a pair of Flame Lites that I bought in July and I loved them. Unfortunately they got damaged at work and I had to buy a new pair in early November. They sounded terrible compared to the first pair. The mids and highs were no where near the same; this is with the same phone and same audio settings. I ended up sending them back and bought the Flame Solos...hopefully they are better.

    Good review; I got here looking for info on the Lite's, already owning the regular Solo's. FWIW, I found the ear cushions to be the one downside of the Solo. If I were to wear them for jogging or such I understand wanting ambient sound getting in just for safety. However I wear them most often while riding a large diesel powered mower and I need them to provide some noise isolation. In the winter over ear noise cancellation headphones work well but they're too hot to wear in the summer. What I did was toss the provided ear cushions and swap them with the memory foam cushions that came with an old dead pair of wired MPow Flames' and it works great; the sound quality too is even more improved.

    I bought some solos and it’s pretty awesome the sound is great and I can’t really hear anything around me.
    One problem was the mics on the call, they’re great with no background noises but whenever I’m walking next to any cars or loud noises, the other person can’t hear shit. It picks up everything. I think my mics are faulty for something so I’m using the warranty and hopefully fix the mic. Overall really awesome price value.

      If it's any indication, I wear the solos almost 100:1 more often than the lites. The lites might carry a little more bass, but they often fail to charge properly in the case (unreliable).
      Compared to the m30, you'll probably find these earhook buds tend to be worn a little looser, generally don't sound quite as good, instead they let you move freely and still have awareness of you surroundings

    good video..if I can snag The Jlab epic sport ANC ( at the $50 price) would you recommend the Flame Solo over the Jlab?

    • @SoZenGadgets
      @SoZenGadgets  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Dave, in my experience, these two earbuds are polar opposites from an experience perspective. My ears are very sensitive to being blocked by earbuds, so when i work out in an earbud that blocks noise passively, like the JLab Epic Sport, I literally can't stand wearing them for working out. These MPow don't block much, if any, sound passively, and that makes them excellent for me - no inner ear pressure at all. If you're not sensitive to that feeling of pressure in your ears, the JLab have many, many more features, to be sure and are worth the price. But for me, for running & working out, I'd chose these MPow everyday.

    • @SoZenGadgets
      @SoZenGadgets  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jlk22182 with the winter upon us, I'll be doing more indoor mic tests. The mics on earbuds are small and relatively far away from your mouth compared to your phone, they mostly have some sort of noise cancelling feature which could alter voices. My wife uses the enacfire geeks every day at work and they're better than her phone's mic quality. I use true free 2, they are even better.
