Released in 1924, Alice's Scary Adventures is the third of the early films in the Alice Comedies series. Alice's Scary Adventures centers on Alice, who ventures into a haunted house or spooky setting, encountering various ghoulish and comedic animated characters. Disney has transfered to Hollywood from 23-24 and convinced Virginia Davis' family to bring her to Hollywood as well to continue the Alice series begun in Kansas City.
Walt Disney directed the film, and it was produced by M.J. Winkler Productions. The Alice Comedies helped Disney refine his animation techniques, and many consider these works to have paved the way for Disney's later achievements in full animation, including the iconic Mickey Mouse series.
