My first training session with AMSA Speedway Academy Scunthorpe

My first training session with AMSA Amateur Motorcycles Speedway Academy on Speedway track in Scunthorpe.
First two sessions I had to have assessment on bike with 125cc engine on small track.
Then I started on full Speedway engine 500cc on full track as normal rider.

respect to take this steep learning curve at this age.
keep it going! looks like you got a neck for it
maybe a riding tip to think about and talk to you trainer about: try to find a spot in the corner where you throw the bike sideways and keep it going until the end of the corner,
so determine where you feel confident to that and train every corner like this until you can consistently keep the trottle open through the corner, once you got that you can progress towards open the throttle earlier after entering the corner.
that milking the throttle thing you do here on this video will be out of the window what makes it more fun and a little safer.. the more stable the bike, the easier it goes.

Thanks for your good comment and advice. It was my first training on 500 on normal track. 3 months later (after my holiday) I had another training, everything was good, I felt more confident and comfy, maybe to much confident then on my last lap that day I made mistake and had serious crash exiting corner (hit the fence on straight) so had few broken bones (leg etc) So unfortunately I lost all year but now in next two weeks I back on track with everything brand new ( gears, bike kevlar etc) because speedway is my love. However I have to start gently from beginning but I didn't forgot how to do this😁

I started riding speedway when I was 46. First there was a mini speedway, then a GM500 at the age of 47.

O yes pal. Even if you remember me from Scunny track in May. We have picture together Unfortunately now this kevlar is in bin cos nearly 2 weeks ago I had serious crash in Scunny so paramedics they cut kevlar around to take it off from me. I have multiple injury😒 and I'm in hospital now. So my season is finished. Follow me on FB
