This comes with love to my many Shawol fans, who have been requesting this cover and sheets ever since SHINee released their Dream Girl album, Chapter 1: The Misconceptions of You, in February 2013. Then it was called Can't Leave. When their Why So Serious? album, Chapter 2: The Misconceptions of Me, was released in April 2013, this lovely song was included under the title Sleepless Night.
TH-camr Rainy Reynah made a lovely arrangement of it • "떠나지 못해 (Sleepless Nig... and I requested her permission to transcribe it (which she kindly gave). After I finished it, I checked the original soundtrack and started making changes (cos I just can't resist playing what I hear hehe). It ended up very different in most places, from her arrangement, which doesn't mean better...just different ;) So, many thanks to Rainy Reynah for being an inspiration...hope you'll approve of my version too! And hope you guys/gals will enjoy both our versions :) .

Yea, I know...it takes a lot of time and skill to transcribe music and produce proper scores. I'm doing this as my special gift to musicians and the world of music :)

Any part which you find too difficult to play can probably be simplified by replacing the notes with chords, using the chord symbols I provide. Like the part that goes up high as long with one of the guys improvising on the melody. I've written it with both hands going up in octaves. You can leave that part out and just hold or repeat the chord at the beginning of the bar. I'm looking forward to hearing you play one of these days :)

Thanks! It's hard in some places but most of it is very manageable :) You can try to simplify the hard parts by leaving out some notes. Play what you can first, then when it gets more familiar, add other parts. Have fun!

Hehe. ..I have checked it out... and yea, it's pretty out of tune in some places, but that's not because you can't sing, it's because the pitch of the song is too low for you to reach comfortably. You're trying to sing it at the guys pitch. Girls are supposed to sing an octave higher, but that's going to be too high for you too. SHINee has an awesome pitch range... they are amazing singers! So for you, you need to transpose/change the key of my piano cover to a pitch that you can sing properly.
It's on my list, but I seriously doubt I'll have time to catch up on it. I only have time for one cover per week (sometimes not even that), so I'd rather do a new release. Like I'm going to do Henry's Trap next. I've been trying to upload my Baby Don't Cry and Lee Seung Gi's Last Word for the past 3 days already. Just no time! :-((

Thanks! I have checked out Honesty...it's very nice, but I'm afraid I don't have time to cover older songs. There are so many new more popular ones coming out. But I can barely find time to do even one per week! :(
Rainy's version isn't much easier :) and I've over-written the transcription i did of it already anyway :( It'll take too long for me to do it again. Maybe you try simplifying this version yourself? Substitute the hard parts with something that you can play. .. or leave out the notes which are not essential to the melody.

I started out transcribing her version, but ended up following the original soundtrack more, which is quite different from Rainy's version. So I only have the sheets for my version, not Rainy's :p

You're most welcome :) You know, it's actually never too late to learn to play the piano, if you just want to play for fun (actually, I even had adult students who wanted to take exams) It's not impossible...you just have to be determined to find time to practise. And it's very important that you look for a teacher who can teach you pop songs..not just classical music.
I learned to play piano few years back but only on classical. After finding ur website, I am now practicing almost everyday on this song and some other songs u have been transposed. Difficult but am sure enjoying it ! Thanks so much for your hard work and playing advices to amateur like me ♡♥♡
