I thought the logo the gloves were like a wave with bubbles. Took me a while to figure out that it actually was a dude coming in with a hook when he pointed it out.
That is not good as far as customer service goes but I do agree about the buying process. I see a lot of smaller companies do this but maybe the fear with Grant is by making them "mass produced" in some way would bring quality down or something but I think a website would be a good start. Emailing, Facebook, and Instagram is kinda meh. But it does save costs too I imagine.
@@dariusp422 i didn’t get them customized. i ordered them from there website. im not too sure but i believe that if you want a custom pair you need to email them.
the leather of grant is top notch, the design and the pop and everything feels great... it's just the price that aint right lol i do own a training set top notch quality no doubt got some special discounts from the grant team too but not too much 900usd for the whole set excluding shipping
Great review. What's the lowest weight these training-type gloves come in? They are rather large from what I see, and can be almost 2oz. overweight. I'm a lightweight athlete, and need a smaller profile training glove with a tighter hand compartment, hence the question.
U should try out the mexican Gil brand if u like that bouncy feedback. I've only seen reyes were the glove is one piece, every other mexican brand that I've used has that stitching on the thumb part
Hi Marro! I’m thinking of buying either grant 14 oz gloves but in old model red and white or the new canelo model of no boxing no life 14 oz gloves. Which would you recommend? I’d love to hear your thoughts on this. Also I love all of your videos! I even chose some of my gloves watching your reviews. Keep it up!
Aye man I’m curious how do you get these gloves what did you do like what did you send in the email and how did they respond and what did they send for you on how you want them customized
So I got these from MSM fight shop. If you email sales@grantworldwide.com you just basically say "hey I'd like to create a custom pair what is the process of doing so" and they respond pretty quickly with options and pricing
Almost got it Al. You looked at the camera in the beginning and then did a good job of looking at us until the end. It fell apart. I know you’re a boxing coach not a social media guru. So I will help you. For free. Decorate you camera lens. Also, reviews or pro gloves are a poor use of your minutes. Pros know already. Instead, do a series of “if you like ***, try ***” Glad to see you back. It’s been a while. I’m good with Reyes. But if I wanted a grant alternative- Sabas? Winning alternative-Ring To Cage? Make those vids! Keep going!
Love the comments and tips man! I would say for grant alternative, sabas pro series is great, you can checkout and message new sporting on Instagram and they are virtually grants. Fortress actually does a pretty good job at acting like grants too. Winning alternative I would do the win1 by topboxer if not heavy hitters, though heavy hitters DO have their own feel to them. Ring to cage does a pretty good job but the topboxer win1 is my favorite winning alternative and in all honesty, I like them better.
I'd go with new sporting for sure they're weird like Grant and in that you have to go on their insta to buy anything and to pay for it, they only take western union now. I don't know why
Great review. I have question I use the winning 16 oz gloves and it has room in there. People said that grant 16 OZ is even much larger than it. I am 6feet 1 and 170 Lb wondering if I get 16 oz will it be too big for me? And is the weight accurate or it is overweight? Appreciate it
Weight is pretty dead on for me at least. I think 16.2 is what mine were when I weighed them but I would have to go back to check again so I may have to get back to you on that. As for size comparison, I'd say Winning is a more comfortable hand compartment in my opionon and moves around easier. Grant is not "cramped" for me but I think Winning has a slight edge
great vid man 👌I wish I bought these years back when they were at a 'reasonably decent' price 🥲maybe one day but, do you or anyone know of any other well made Mexican brand?
Good question! It operates surprisingly well. The shell is actually pretty thick and feels real and it is pretty easy to stuff. I don't stuff bags with shredded clothes, I just used complete cloth and clothes with other things lining it sot he bag has more of a person feel but I did goof with that bag and forgot to put weight at the bottom of it and well....I am too lazy to take the stuff out and re stuff it all over again lol. So for a good bag feel, I line the bag with high density cushion foam you can get from walmart or just get a memory foam mattress cover to get a circle in bag itself, and then I will put the clothes in the center of the mattress cover until the cover starts to push out firmly towards the lining of the bag. I continue until the bag is full and firm but any small spaces I need to fill in quickly, I use polyfil. Probably a wicked long answer but I hope it helps! Overall great bag for the price!
I got 14oz cletos and for some reason im happy but not too happy with it due to weight. How are these gloves?? Its cheaper and seems more better from the reviews help me out i want to use some 10oz for mit/heavybag work
Tons of factors there! What size guy are you, what sport are you doing, and do you know what kind of puncher you are? Great gloves in that price range that come to mind would be Hayabusa t3s, Phantom boxing el cucuy 2.0s, Ringise apex, anything by topboxer is awesome, infinitude is great. I'd also say title pro mex isn't all that bad. I know a lot of people like fighting s2 gels by title too. Lots of options but those are a few that I like in particular.
@@combat_corp aye thanks for the reply man, I'm 5’9 170 and I'm boxing lol I think I'm a puncher cuz I never have any hand pain or wrist pain and thank you for the recommendations!
Many people agree with this and I am not too far behind! For sure overpriced. I don't know many things in the boxing world that SHOULD be over 400 even. You're going for the brand at that point. Kinda like Nike
You lost me at @ “if it don’t look like this than it’s fake” but didn’t describe the difference between the real ones and the fakes because you don’t know
Hey man I appreciate the comment, but I have a feeling you won't like any answer I give you to that. It's no secret I don't do snippits or different takes. I try to do everything in one take and believe me, this there are a lot of videos where I look back and say, "Ah man I missed this detail or I should have went into specifics." That's where folks like you come in to save the day! I'd love to hear you out if this isn't accurate because YOU probably know I'm assuming if you made the comment. I have not been around many fake Grants. However, the Grants I have seen that are fake (maybe one or two) at my boxing gym came from a few kids that saved up enough and said "hey coach Al, I bought these Grant gloves for like $100." Now obviously, that is a red flag right off the bat, I have never seen or heard Grants go for anything under $400 even used. I also see most Grant stock gloves have the same color pattern as mine or they reverse the black and red for the main back of the glove. I would also say (if my experience in investigative practices serves me correctly) fake training or custom gloves I see, usually don't have the "grantworldwide.com" printed on the bottom part of the logo. I also see on the fight gloves, that most grants don't share that same trait on the logo. It usually looks like a plain Grant logo. From feeling the one or two fake Grants I've seen compared to mine, the leather is so thin, the padding feels like gel padding compared to latex, the interior did not feel the same like the canvas/denim texture more of the regular nylon lining most gloves use. On top of it, some fake grants usually have some funky color to them. I also assume though not entirely positive on this, fake ones probably would not have the same inner tag that Grant has that warns you the materials might need replacing etc. My final deduction of finding fake Grants is there are so few people out there that might even get ahold of these things. I bought mine from MSM fight shop when I visited Florida for a wrestling trip. They were in a big plexiglass container on stand and they had the bill of sale and everything proving that the were directly from Grant. If someone looked at me and said "I went on Title boxing and bought these grants" I mean...at that point its entirely fake. My thought process is that I would never buy a fake pair. I do my research and I am even one to admit consult my fellow reviewers (Csquared, Fit2box, Jordanmiller, thatboxingguy) about stuff I just haven't used. Maybe I ought to buy a pair of fake ones and explain to people the difference between real and fake Grants. I hope this response finds you well, sorry for the frigen novel I wrote, I just hope it explains myself a little bit here. Good catch, it isn't often I get comments that really make me think hard on stuff like that. So...thanks dude!
