Michael and Brian should win an Oscar for this performance. This is the greatest raw rock n roll ballad ever recorded. The audio is award winning, the video, the same. Pure genius boys, oops, men. Smart. Thank you for the music.
7 Years after I first fell in love with this song and I'm suddenly obsessed again. I can't help but feel this is some kind of take on the over-produced, "everything mixed for boosted radio" music thats usually the norm - its so soft, subtle, more about what they don't fill the air with than what they do. What insane level of maturity for a first time band. Fucking wild.
Brian and Michael, we're also from Long Island and after having discovered The Lemon Twigs, we have finally found a band from our area that we LOVE! You two are incredibly talented, and we look forward to your future.
Ho, this sounds like a LOT of other bands. But that's not a bad thing. They're very talented and are only 19 or 20. Lots of potential to turn into something truly unique.
Vevo's been spamming me with good songs as ads lately and I can't really complain....this is fucking amazing! & I hate everyone being bitter about their Beatles & 70s influences. It's good to see a revival of that musical era!
Music Archivist of 20th Century Music i listen to everything, mate! art is art, and its appeal just depends on the viewer. you shouldn't be quick to judge an entire generation, but if we're being real here, most people in this generation don't even like this stuff.
I’ve never listened to this band but I’ve heard that they are amazing. So here I am listening to them for the first time, and enjoying the HELL out of it!
This is my go to Christmas gift to my teen niece and older brother.... I heard it the first few beats and my confidence grows with every song I listen to the end. You want to advance your kid quicker through trendy music then give the Rock and Roll which challenges. Their music makes me miss my youth.
once it hits a million they're out of here. hope the music industry doesn't destroy their heart and soul. they deserve all the recognition they get. im exited to see how they develop. it sounds like the 60's at its best.
Just discovered them now, and I'm really digging their sound! They sound almost late 60's/70's-esque while having a totally modern feel at the same time! I hope they get big in the future :)
If somehow I was standing In your room without my boots With your spider in my hand And I look at you And my skin is red Yeah arm to arm and thigh to thigh Even though there's plenty of room And I look just like an owl And you think that's just fine But it doesn't matter, anyway [Chorus] As long as we're together I don't see what's wrong with that That As long as we're together I don't see what's wrong with that That [Verse 2] Well I don't think I'll be bitter "Hey you must not know yourself very well" You will be silent For a few months But all that shit he said I don't know what I read Yeah keep that sweatshirt wait outside We've only ever talked For what? Seemed like an hour But I was so happy There must be common things [Chorus x2] As long as we're together I don't see what's wrong with that That As long as we're together I don't see what's wrong with that That But only in my mind would I begin to think it true
Haha true. I mean based on the music alone it should have over a million views. Just noticed Dj Khaled's new video which has been out for all of two daze has 27 million views. It's full of booty as you pointed out, but the music is absolute shit. The general masses are absolutely illiterate (or the equivalent of the word related to music, if there is one) when it comes to music.
I accidentally saw these guys live at Piano's in NYC during CMJ a year ago. Excelent show. The kid in lipstick has fantastic energy that doesn't come through in this video. Very good live show.
To the people that play the "they are wannabes" game What else would you want? What to you is original? Honestly seeing two people like these guys putting in this amount of effort and making amazing music and none the less using great imagery and charisma that takes elements from other people and they make it into their own collective image Obviously you see bits of influence fly around every witch way and to me that's extremely exciting, because people who are passionate about music and art go out of their way to try to use implements of work that they hear to make their own art, and to me that's exactly what being original is I suppose every band that try's to look different or play different music is just a Beatles or Bowie wanna be in their own way I think people should look for what they've progressed in this and what they have taken and made into something that pushes music a little farther....
Ancient comment but pretty much all musicians are inspired by some musicians they grew up listening to, it might be a big mash-up of various artists that creates something entirely new or it could sound a bit like something else. Whatever, it's all music, like it or leave it.
Bit of Kinks, bit of Beatles, bit of something new - im so impressed! Had no idea about these guys till I just saw the Jools video on TH-cam.... Blown away!
This band is awesome! I saw them Stephen Colbert performing another song. I love the Revisited style but they somehow make it all fresh and their own! The best song I've heard lately!
They had so much influence and ambition when they first came onto the scene I mean they still do 100%. Brian and Michael are some damn talented brothers
Car was made by Gene Winfield, the creator of the original batmobile and a several other amazing vehicles. Also Autumn DeWilde directed this, and she’s amazing - did the album art for Elliott Smith’s Figure 8 as well as the Son of Sam video. Her daughter Arrow DeWilde is in s band called Starcrawler, and they’re also great!

Well said.
hmmm. seems more like theyre going for a 60s/70s vibe to me
It's like Insert Band Here meets Insert Band Here meets Insert Band Here. I like it.
Cal Horning I love and hate this comment.
Best comment
And Keith Moon... And Pete Townsend.... And the Ramones brothers.... And on and on
It’s how all the greatest music is made, when it’s influenced and blended by things that came before it
And 'insert band here' is the best name for a band that never was....2024
Brian and Michael, we're also from Long Island and after having discovered The Lemon Twigs, we have finally found a band from our area that we LOVE! You two are incredibly talented, and we look forward to your future.
such an underrated duo man, they deserve more credit, love them.

the 70's & 80's are making a comeback, and I couldn't be happier
hopefully! gotta look beyond what is mainstream and you will find guys like these
As they say, there's more 80s now, than there was in the 80s.
This comment aged badly 🤥😐
@@Mark_B585the 80's did come back though, it's everywhere

The most unique and fresh band of 2016, like nothing else. And this video is great, especially that car.
HiHo44 Check out White Denim. They're great too.
like nothing else... except an entire decade (70's). Nah I dig it too. Not the video but the song is killer for sure.
foxygen sound like this too
a lot of their music is exactly the beach boys
Ho, this sounds like a LOT of other bands. But that's not a bad thing. They're very talented and are only 19 or 20. Lots of potential to turn into something truly unique.
The 70s glam rock is alive and gloriously kicking with these bros!!! Todd Rundgren meets Bowie!!! Parents must be proud... Hell, I'm proud of them!
I'm liking these guys. So many influences that you can hear. Way more than just the ones people have mentioned so far.
Every few years I come back to this hard I love the wonky stereo mix on the drums
Great song. The chorus is absolute gold.
if i ever film a movie, this will roll with the credits

Yes these guys and Greta Van Fleet vynil is on my list for my boys this year. 55 year old mom here. Love the good music ❤❤
This band debut album Do Hollywood is amazing.
I have recovered my confidence in rock and roll music.
It’s as if Bowie the Beatles queen and The Beach Boys had an orgey and the lemon twigs are the result
now that! it does make sense after all. Putting the best ingredients together does not always guarantee a good result....
I actually hear a lot of Paul McCartney and Wings era sounds going on in their sound as well.
The Beatles actually did have an orgy, but just amongst themselves...
michael williams joke
“Orgy”
the twigs are the real deal y'all. all 3 of their vids are sweet. fabulous live as well!
KILLER VIDEO AND GREAT SONG! Love all the different nuances and harmony builds! ^..^
The vibe they give off is utterly amazing. I love it!
So obsessed with this song and video, been stuck in my head for a month now. Well done gents!

Heavy Beatles and Bowie influence, but still original and sincere. Love it!
You missed the Radiohead influence right down to chord progression.
No stones comparison?
I’m hearing Bob Dylan in the folk style singing and acoustic
Todd rundgren
Beach Boys 100% Harmonies are Beautiful.

Well I don't think I'll be bitter

For a few months
But all that shit he said
