- take a drive with me in the 65 sunroof showing the power of the engine with 1600 rockers which are 1.125 to 1 over stock and the big bore 1384 kit. otherwise all stock.

What’s the ratio on the rockers and do I need pushrods as well? Splitting the case on a 61 next month and looking for ideas but it’s a numbers matching car so don’t want to swap to a 1600.

I carry blue tooth speakers so if the dash is cut up I permanently delete the radiio
Mike, since this video, have you ever upgraded to the 1600 rockers with the stock cylinder displacement on the 40 HP motor.
It would probably give you a little. I've never done it though. My next one I'm going to put an angle 100 in it
Hey mike, so i have a 1300 singleport, i have a set of 1600 rockers, so if i put them on will they make my bug faster?
not sure on that I think the 1300 has all the right stuff. dont really remember for sure. The 1300 I believe interchanges with the 1600 or 1500.
Big bore kit what size are they ?? I put 85.5 on my 1300 used the same heads and stock everything she was great
The one thing that Jewburners 40 would not do is lose thrust and get case clap. Now it did need cam bearings installed . back then they did it in Houston for 25 bucks .

I gotta try this on my 40Hp! Would I have to swap out my pushrods for the 1600 rockers? Or just put the 1600 rockers in and just roll with the stock pushrods? And would the valve clearance change and if so to what? Thank you!
gotta use 1600 pushrods and spacers or cut to fit. depends on engine.

man that was pure cell phone holding ha ha. country roads so had to grab the wheel from time to time. knee steering buddy that is the way I ate lunch every day in high school.
