Great to see someone didn't forget their early schooling arts and crafts! Every other crawler track video uses that expensive plaster wrap and expanding foam.
12:02= HA! I knew you were a Canuck from your accent! And the Tim's cup cinched it! LOL!!! Great build! So much free stuff to build with, I don't know why anyone buys stuff! And nice job using paper mache. Free and looks better than the plaster cloth. The plaster cloth always shows through. Have fun!
@@wreckemrc 😁 I was born back East. I'm planning to do some 2x2 sections of course. I'm thinking each section with have 4 sides, so when combined with more and more sections they can make an infinitely variable course. And vatious shapes. One long line or a big square or an "L".
@@wingnutbert9685 Sorry lol, as soon as I saw the yellow bag of flour with the French label showing "Tout Usage" (all purpose) I recognised the Canadian factor - then when I heard buddy's accent I thought "O fk yah bud!" Haha 😄
Very well done sir 😎 that is the most fantastic pile of litter I have ever seen. Well done with the results that you have achieved with this🧐 me and my son really want to do something like this, we have been getting little bits and pieces of obstacles together but nothing as good as this 🤩 could you let me know how it has held up? Has your wheels spinning scuffed the finish or eaten into the paper machè or anything? I'm thinking about using your method 🤔 but I might layer some epoxy based varnish on the dry paper machè before I lay the primer down to make it tougher 🤷♂️..... obviously I'll key the finish on the epoxy before attempting the primer though 😎👍 It kinda looks like the top of some spooky geezer's head protruding from the ground 💀👌 I think it's great! Im sure my son will feel the same when I show him this 😎👍 Thank you for sharing.
Hey thanks for checking it out, Its still holding up alright although i had to make room in the house so its kind of put away in storage right now. I might pull it out and make an other video with it. Its pretty solid with enough layers of paper and paint but adding epoxy should make it indestructible. I hope to start working on some new obstacles next week but might be a bit before the video is done.
do loved the final result, but must say DO NOT USE FLOUR AND WATER, it will attract roaches, they love that stuff I learned the hard way many years ago due school project, its better to use white glue and water same result. If I were you sadly I'll trow it away and do a new one. cheers.
That's interesting. I'm not sure if location is a factor in that or what because we have been doing paper mache crafts for years and have never had that problem. I can't help but to imagine a kid at the front of a class with their volcano science project erupting with roaches lol
@@wreckemrc LOL yeah it was a piñata and the original material are just like the paper mache crafts but even the original piñatas are now made with glue due to that issue with critters like roaches yikes! so yeah location and also what you did to cover it all with paint may help prevent it a bit, but I'll say its matter of time due the flour its food for them XD if I were you just next project do it with glue you will get the same results as with the mache but without the risk. just saying, loved your mini crawler course I just finished mine, made it with styrofoam, so easy to carb and shape. can't wait to see what upgrades you do int he future to your course and rigs, cheers.

Been working on an modular course also only using whatever free stuff is around. Budget builds are the best.
Got to save money on building the course to spend on fixing up the truck.
Nice. Looks like the upper half of an owls head. Nice big eye sockets to drive into.
Thanks 👍
A heck of a lot cheaper to go paper mache method than buying the plaster sheets. I enjoyed the use of classical music and your narration
Hey thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it.
I was also thinking the music was a nice touch. I love listening to this and jazz while I work on projects myself
Nice job
Thanks!
my indoor course started off as a budget build but i kind of got carried away! but man i they cool!
Perfect table top idea
I’m impressed…that turned out fantastic!!! Thanks for the video.
Hey thanks for checking it out.
Great vid, man. I enjoyed watching and this a great budget build!

The tout usage farine right at the start haha!

interesting, I always used glue and water for paper mache
I feel like the flour would mold or something
I guess using flour is the old fashioned way. I've never had a problem with it but it does have a few layers of paint too.
Bob Ross would approve 👍
Love it. Can it be moved?
@@joviedo536 Yep, it's not heavy.
@@wreckemrcjust started. How many layers?
@@joviedo536I think I did maybe 8 layers, I just kept doing them until it felt nice and strong.
@@wreckemrc oh ok. I’m on my 3rd. Was getting worried. Thanks
@joviedo536 oh what's got you worried? Just not strong enough yet?
awesome.God bless.
