Join me as i take a deep dive into the RC hobby, I will take you on my journey to see what its like as a beginner entering not only the RC hobby and community but also video production.
I still remember my first RC car. Waking up that Christmas morning and finding that Tyco Rebound under the tree. If you can remember that car you know it received a proper bashing. I may have killed that truck but my passion for the hobby laid dormant. UNTILL NOW.

Damn. Never thought about using coffee beans. How well do they work?
@Papa_Shorty I think they work well, alot easier to find and not as expensive as the airsoft pellets.
@ I thought about using clay slingshot pellets. I think they’re larger than airsoft.
@Papa_Shorty yeah I had the clay balls meant for grow beds but I found them too big and the truck wouldn't really sink in at all.
What materials did you use to build the grey part? Looks great
I made them out of scrap Styrofoam and paper-mache. Then just painted it with some dollar stoe paint. th-cam.com/video/ccuhFhB7obI/w-d-xo.html you can check out that video if you want to see how it was done.
Did you get it to work,I can't get it to stear,I have forward and revise
@robertriddle9935 Yeah, I never had any issues with that. Sounds like you might of got a bad servo or something. I'm not sure. I'd maybe take the servo out and see if it works when it isn't hooked to anything and also make sure the tires can turn easily and nothing is catching or making it really stiff. It could also be the servo saver, but I'm just really just guessing at what the problem could be.
Regular Bob Ross I see. Good idea but no offense every thing I saw you make is no challenge for your c-10.
@MikeSanders-k3x oh I don't think you can offend me after that Bob Ross compliment 🤣 but yeah some more difficult obstacles would be fun too. Maybe my next one I'll try to make harder lines.
Very cool
Sweet.!! That would keep me ramped all day.! Pun intended..!
That was cool
love your style!
👍👍 super cool love the different obstacles, ain’t had my Betty out in a while still got stuck servo which is almost dead why it’s been sitting appreciate the video👍👍😎
Hey Thanks for checking it out. Yeah I got to get a new servo for the c10 it's starting to get weak with the heavy rims on it.
Nice run ,love the color ,a friend of mine had a real truck that color!..👍
Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄
Awesome video
Hey Thanks for checking it out.
That was funny Happy little rocks Bob Ross would say you got to have happy little trees and have a happy tree Love you video man it's cool
My math teacher never told me to show my work but my art teacher did Miss Miller was her name I never forget her I'm showing my work Ms Miller lol looking good man
By the way I like the background music excellent no jokes aside music background is cool man
Hey Thanks for checking it out. I'm not really a classical music guy but for some reason it seemed to work. Happy Holidays
Damn man you driving me nuts with that tape you're using I'll see how you did it it work
Not going to lie the tape was getting annoying lol
Just a thought yeah hot glue gun would work best instead of tape but so far it looks pretty cool
Sweet
lol, definitely have to get something for yourself also! 👍🏻😀
Didnt expect Tschaikowski to fit this good to a diy video^^ Thanks for sharing :-)
Looks better than i expected after i saw the garbage^^ greatly done man!
A coat of paint goes a long way 🤣 Thanks for checking it out.
Still got more rc stuff for you. Can make a smoking deal as it is the holidays. Give me a shout
Chicken and ribs
Love this video. Reminds me of driving these trucks with my son. Thank you.
nice ! This is how piñatas are made! How did that not occur to me before!!!😮
About how big is the bottom board? 1'x2'???
@@treychastain4686 They are about 7 inches wide and 2 feet long. The board was maybe 1/8 to 1/4 inch thick.
Traxos?
I don't see a wedding ring so I guess there little chance you got slaughtered by a significant other for making a mess of the table........unless you're at Mom's table.........😵🤣🤣🤣🤣
Great job. Plaster cloth never looks good when people use it. And spray foam is crazy expensive. So much free material out there. I think squares would be good as they give you 4 sides to rearrange the course with. And I think going with Weldbond instead of flour would be a bit better. Maybe add some cement power or powdered concrete tint to give the base a color so if it gets scratched the news paper doesn't stand out so much. Very cool build though!
@wingnutbert9685 Hey Thanks, Yeah I think you could use watered-down white glue instead flour but I have always just used flour for paper mache and it's been holding up so far. Iv thought about trying to coat them with a resin approx to make it more like a hard plastic. I'm also thinking about trying a build using blue shop towels with cement powder.
@@wreckemrc I'm thinking a thin cement mix too. Maybe with Weldbond added for bonding improvement. Super durable as done by Reactive Terrain. I think I'll go with old bed sheets as I have a ton of them. Definitely doing modules like you did. I think I'd get board too quick with a one piece course. Use some real stone in amongst the sections for even more variety.
awesome run bro! cheers
@@jamesrcgarage6733 thanks man
Hi there. Beautiful crawl in the tundra 😂. I recently bought a black C-10, my 4th scx24 and i vowed i will Not cut up the body because its too pretty so all my upgrades will have to be according to this limit.
Same here, this is my only 24 and i dont want to chop the body. Maybe my next rig will be more geared for performance.
Love this doing a monster with a coffin in the mountain face. It shouldn’t be to bad for my first one. I’ll make a cemetery entrance to it…!! I purchased all kinds of stuff I fused gauze glues tape sticks popsicle sticks and timber sizes for structures foam to spray is nice for terrains to scale. This is a hell of a more efficient way, by far… bob ross it away, good job dude killed it…!!!
Hey Thanks for checking it out. Sounds like you got a nice build planned out. the monster cemetery theme should be pretty cool. Have fun with your build.👍
@ Ty the build is a lot of fun and this will help a lot

Hi, thats a nice long video. So which truck do you prefer and what wheel tire combo do you have on the C-10 ? I just got a new black one, i would like to upgrade to a different tire but without cutting of the beautiful body. Keep it up.
@Jb-Raja Hey Thanks, I had the same thought about the truck body. The tires are RC4WD brand. The rims are injora brass rims. Only down side to the heavy rims is it will wear out the stalk servo and motor.
Great vid. Never snow crawling. Wind was crazy!!
Hey Thanks for checking it it. I was glad i got out and made the video when i did the rock garden is under three feet of snow now.
@wreckemrc whoa!!!
use airsoft pellets... waste of perfectly good coffee beans🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣 Yeah the pellets would be good but i think the coffee beans works well too. And who says you cant still use them. 🤣☕🤣
Awesome
Dude that's hilarious and awesome
Sweet❤
wow good job this was cool
these are actually really cool, enjoyed this a lot! Good editing buddy!!
Sounds like you might want to get into some rock crawling. 🤣and thanks I'm SLOWLY getting better at the editing. haha
cool video!
Hey Thanks for checking it out.
Awesome wheel upgrade man!! Good run too, she was struggling so hard having that much slip on those rocks. I wonder if some more luggy tires would of done better? Either way, was fun to watch the struggle and the battle to make those lines.
Yeah i am liking the new tires and rims, unfortunately my injora order got canceled so i wont be getting the black friday deals on the parts anymore, but ill be doing the axles, servo, motor and esc before long.
Nothing better then new shoes
Wow. That's a lot of work. Well worth it. Awesome crawler and course. 👍🏾💯
It was a fair bit of shoveling, that's for sure. Thanks for checking it out.
Awesome course build bro, and great run on it afterwards! Cheers Wreckem
Thanks James Its been taking me a while to put together but figured it was time to share what iv been up to. Just got to get my rig done up now, Think I'm going to need a new server for it next.
@@wreckemrc yeah a servo will be a good thing! I hear ya on it takin awhile cuz i change and add rock and dirt to both the indoor and outdoor courses to make lines all the time! Cheers bro
Best video I've seen on this! Modular pieces like this is exactly what I need to pull out and use in the living room. I don't want a whole table like the other videos. Thank you 👍
Hey thanks, That's exactly what I had in mind when I thought of building these.
This is awesome. I am commenting while watching. Lol. I could watch this all day! Not sure when this footage was taken and how much more you've added, but this is going to be great. Are you adding branches, accessories, ramps? Maybe a tweeter bridge somewhere in there.
Hey Thanks, I started the build back in the summer and just been picking up more rocks here and there to add to it. I think its a good start but yeah it would be cool to keep adding more features to it.
@wreckemrc if I had a privacy fence around my backyard I would make my whole back yard a outdoor course. It would save me from cutting the grass! Yeah. It looks like fun. I have tons of RC tires that I want to make a tire pit with. And a branch bridge where I can go over the bridge and also drive under the bridge. Just talking about it now makes me want to do this! Lol
An old tire pit would be cool for your indoor course. it would make for a neat obstacle to drive through. Iv thought about doing a track in my backyard but i think it would be a lot of work.
@@wreckemrc the rock area on my indoor course is loos rock and i can replace the whole area with more obstacles, i am going to do the tire pit. you inspired me to work on it again. i was taking a break from it all but after watching your video i am back at it! lol i am finishing up changing to new servos and shocks, etc on my 24th scales. once i am done with all that i will do the tire pit. the outdoor track would be cool. think about it, build it and i will watch! lol
Really good job brother! I just bought the Ascent 18 I'm thinking doing the same thing just for playing around in my apartment! Thanks for the tutorial really appreciate the time you took to make this!
@Raumyn Hey thanks, really appreciate the positive feedback. Have fun with the build and your new Ascent.
