I always fight close range with junkrat because even if they kill you the death bombs always get them since you fight them so close that they may not be able to react in time. Also close range fighting as junk definetly makes everything more chaotic for the enemies

Collecting healthpacks to not engage with low health is trick number 4
Also trapping near health packs for some poor unsuspecting low hp DPS is gold. Even better if they rage in chat.
Another thing: sigm, pharah, zarya, etc., get hurt by their own shots. Junkrat doesnt hurt himself from his shots so its cook to go all in
Getting in peoples face is a fun way to scare them and make sure you get the kill
Heres another tip, if you’re about to die as junkrat and have no other option, you can become a suicide bomber and just get up in everyones face so that when they kill you, they get exploded by your bombs when u die.

These are good tips but I wouldn’t drop spam altogether. It’s best to cycle these playstyles depending on the game state.

Also, stay out of enemy los. Junkrat's biggest strength is being able to hit targets without being in the open. Take advantage of cover, corners, and inclines
Whenever I'm in a stagnant game where my team isnt pushing hard enough, I'll go Junkrat to add that element of chaos and things start dying

Flankrat is a way to live by. Nothing like using the triple main technique to get an enemy by surprise and then blast them to the spawn. It's glorious, if you can get out alive, that is

good tips, hes probably one of the hardest characters to make work in the high ranks
More tips: 1. when you're the last person, jump into the enemy team's heroes with no movement, this will force them to die by your passive.
2. When using riptire, I recommend using it by jumping from high levels to gain the surprise factor of coming from above.

Me, who's good at Junkrat expecting to learn something I'm not already doing: 🤡.
It's all really good advice, learn to aim with him as well, Junkrat gets more value out of direct hits and not spam burst damage. Also learn when it IS okay to spam with him, like on a Push map after a team kill and you're about to get forward spawn is a good time to spam toward the enemy spawn. He has high mobility, use it to your advantage, and learn the timing on your cooldowns and reload.
I once had a Widow call me a "Five Nights at Freddy's jumpscare" after I drop assassinated her.
How do I aim with him? I’m terrible at aiming in general and suck with Junkrat and every other gun user
heres a tip: if you REALLY want to be good at junkrat, put yourself in his position, The only REAL way to get good at junkrat is to not know what the fuck you're doing

I still find it CRAZY that Blizzard themselves said "we wanna reduce the amount of one shots in the game" then removed road hook combo, nerfed Hanzo AND Widow, but buffed junkrat who has a NUTS combo

So you are the person I can blame for the Junkrats rushing to lick the enemy 1v5, and promptly dying while getting no kills. Honestly, too many junkrats are playing too close and without advantages, I agree your best value is getting burst with the mine, but honestly what is separating the good Junks from the bad is knowing how to pick the right time to go in and having the patience to do so
The get ppl out of the payload from the ult isn’t useful I tried it and didn’t work

this made me realize what an absurd amount of hp mei has, shes literally a human in a big jacket, and she has more hp than armored characters like pharah, and brig. then again the same could be said about reaper jq and zarya, theyre all just humans but have way more hp than other humans it makes no sense
This is a hero based game not some milsim 😂
If you took away jq, mei and reaper's tankiness they'd suck, they need that extra health to get up close and actually do something, also Zarya does have armor, wdym?

If you like playing this character odds are you don't know how to aim. I suggest aim labs over any tips in this short
his gun does require aim, obviously you can just spam away but you won't get away with that unless you're in silver
or maybe you just enjoy the character and how he plays, the only times he doesnt require aim is when youre spamming a choke otherwise hes one of the more difficult characters in the game
Junk requires crazy aim to play well, there’s a lot more to junk the random spam
