Maybe I missed it but did you discuss how to avoid dying to the "disappear in the sky and crash the arena one-shotting me at 80 vigor" move in phase 2?
6:54 As a player that preferes using bigger arnements like the zweihander, i have found an alternate method of evasion to let my weapon sneak an extra attack in. When you roll to the left of the downwards strike you can hug the boss and run to the left under the double swing. When Radahn concludes the second horizontal slash you have just enough time to use a running light attack before he unleashes the earthquake. This helps tremendously with getting posture breaks for big weaponry. The combo in its entirety often lasts long enough for his boosted poise regeneration to take affect, so getting an extra hit in the middle is a great boon, especially for poise break builds like myself without needing to trade damage. I watch many challenge runners like you, on ongbal and lmsh and nowhere have i seen this trico employed so i wanted to share this obscure strategy.
This video explains really well the best strategies for radhann's fight, however for 23:00 I'd recommand dodging this attack by forward-left rolling twice and not forward rolling twice like presented in the video. This allows you to consistantly dodge the light beam (as seen in the footage he takes damage from the lightbeam because of it and radhann's tracking)
Yeah I usually angle my joystick on this dodge but was a little sloppy here. This is my first time experimenting with no HUD, so I didn't even notice that I took damage. Good catch. So yeah go for a diagonal forward dodge to avoid the holy damage beams!
Great content as always. This is the last boss left on my run (rl1; ng+7; 0 scadu) Also one note, i'm pretty sure crucible talisman increases damage by 45%
This boss is a fun and thrilling fight to cap off the DLC, yeah its chaotic and bullshit but with enough health and negation it can be manageable. A solid High A/S tier fight… …Is what i thought before i attempted this fight at RL1… this fight has taken 500+ attempts and i still have yet to see his orbital meteor once… Generally one of the most excruciating experiences i’ve felt in any fromsoft game… and i did Lud and Zallen SL1 which was previously the worst experience i had due to the runback and jank. Never has a boss fall out of favour as hard as this warcrime of a boss
Ive beat him twice now, and Id say hes slowly becoming one of my favorite bosses ever because while he's all kinds of crazy to dodge a lot of times, he actually gives me something to use all my damage on, you know? Many endgame bosses are over very quickly if you use the tools at your disposal, but even if you get lucky with damage, you still have to work for victory here, and I like that. The "Promised Consort" attack is some shit though, also the triple slash like you said. It launches ground projectiles from the sword that dont look like projectiles, they look like the tell for the groundquakes but theyre active hitbox projectiles spreading in a fan from the center of the third slash.
Video is great, personally though I can only sink a ton of hours into a boss if I'm enjoying it. I've done enough challenges at this point that I don't have anything to prove anymore. If I'm not having fun it isn't worth my limited time. For that reason I sincerely doubt I will ever try anything with this boss. There's a ton of other things I'd rather be doing. I'm super glad this exists if I ever change my mind though and it's definitely going to prove helpful to other players and people just trying to beat him without a shield as well. Well done.
This channel is really unique to hear opinions and prospective of other people doing no hit challenges and such, love the videos and are you planning on doing a level 1 run of the dlc?
Thank you for the kind words! I need a break from the DLC after doing all the bosses hitless haha. So, maybe another time for RL1, but I've got other projects in the meantime :)
Thanks for posting this bruh, I beat Radahn by parrying and I'm like not gonna fight him again for a while but if I do, I'm gonna use this guide...sucks there's not many windows for a charged R2 in the fight cause that's why I love the milady. When I use it, I'm usually going 1 charged R2, 1 impaling thrust and most enemies in the game have their poise broken with that
I can never predict that meteor strike where he superman punches me from orbit. I'm actually hoping to gain a little insight on this particular attack.
Has anyone noticed that he has two different lions claw animations that can dictate if he does the follow up? If he slams his swords down when he jumps he may follow it up with another, but if he does it without the sword slam he will only do it once and it’s safe for a heavy attack
I mean it really sucks, it's a bad move that's very hard to dodge. The only viable option is to be constantly on his extreme left and to react very quickly. It's poorly designed, and I hope they get rid of it.
I know this does not have a lot to do with the conversation, but is something curious I've seen on comparison because I got it on my recomended feed. If you know Elden Ring modding , you probably would know the most infamous example; Garden of Eyes is a very Big mod that adds a lot of bosses. Now I want to bring it out, because when I made a comparison thinking how Consort Radanh was compared to this mod, I though that mods are overall much, much worse, at least this. Man, you can say anything about Mr Flashy, but no move forced me to close my eyes because that mod moves were extremely painfully flashy. And worse, it has a lot of nostalgia pandering and is so lame... It has Gael, you know? And fighting him is the equivalent of fighting a Furnace Golem on foot, because it just repeats the same 3 combos... That is the most disgusting thing I may seen, and some mf says "the boss we deserve" when is terrible. Idk man, I just wanted to take that for my heart, I wont never say again that Radahn belongs to a mod.
Maybe I missed it but did you discuss how to avoid dying to the "disappear in the sky and crash the arena one-shotting me at 80 vigor" move in phase 2?
Shoot you’re right my bad! Run away perpendicular to where he takes off. To be safe, just spam roll when you hear him land.
@@jermergerg Welp, after reading your reply, I was able to finally beat him for the first time. Thank you very much.
@@RedDevilGamingBRiB aw I'm so glad!!!!!
After seeing him spam the orbital strikes so often, I was grateful he didn't call any k9s or attack helicopters on me.

Much like Halflight, I have no interest in no-hitting this boss. Great video though.

I've done the fight so many times now I can tell when he's going to do a second one, but I never knew *why* I could tell until now! Thanks!
Okay but how do i ACTUALLY deal with the frame-trap cross>cross>double slash without talismans or tears?
