Breaks my heart. I actually bought a physical copy second hand and played as much as I could of it, but without the DLC 75% of the games is locked off. Absolute tragedy given how glorious the game is. EVERY car sounds absolutely huge, like a roaring beast, every car feels lavish, luxurious, and like you own it, all the cockpit details look fabulous...you can even set the cars to neutral at the top of a hill and let them roll down, and they pick up speed realistically. It's a luxury game, everything feels premium, even eight years later.
Happened to me too and I thought I was the only one. I think it's because it was obviously one of the first racing games to release on PS4 so not many people thought to get the dlc yet
Same here, i got a ps4 recently and i really wish the DLC was still there. A second hand disc is still a good game but I’m sure i would enjoy this game more with multiplayer servers and dlc available
I never even experienced this game sadly
I bought the season pass and for some reason the cars never went away i tested it after servers went down to be sure and it seems they still haven't been revoked
I loved the game, but the physics/handling couldve been made much better/ more realistic
I still play this game. Never get tired of this. No other racing game will give the same vibes where you feel you are driving each car. Each car feels different. And the graphics. My goodness! The details!

That was possibly the most scuffed introduction to a video I've ever seen and I loved it. This game's soundtrack makes me want to cry.
Tunnels are my worst enemy in daytime because when you get out from one you get blinded for few seconds.
This was the only racing game I would actively play on the cockpit camera all the time. All the details and the effect of different weathers with the car sounds were the best.
I could tell this was Driveclub, just from looking at the Venom GT. They need to make a sequel....
The studio that made this game is dead.

The game is quite immersive in first-person cockpit view. Even loved the Japan tracks.
DriveClub is the ideal for me among all other games. I dreamed about this game for a long time because I didn't have a PS4, but a couple of weeks ago I was able to fulfill my dream by buying a PS4 and a DriveClub game disc. After all, I bought the console just for DriveClub. I went through 2 seasons in a few days and reached level 50 in a week, but, my god, I miss all the cars from the DLC so much ... God, it hurts my soul that I can’t get them, and hardly anyone can share their account with me. I'm even willing to pay to use the same account together, but it's unlikely to happen...
I also want to share my screenshots on Twitter, but I don't know how to use it at all...

This game was so detailed. The clocks in the cars worked, the rain drops on the windshield were actually affected by G forces, and most amazing of all.. it's 6 years old and it looks better than most brand new games. Hate that they killed this game

I loved this game. It was beautiful, they could continue it and make it open world with nfs-like customisation and egnine swaps and a better multiplayer. It would be the best car game ever made.

@@jayfujiwara9740 Yep. Right around before launch. If I remember corretly, DriveClub was a launch window game. But Evolution failed to deliver and the game was launched like Halo Infinite will be: in pieces (not complete). They did do a very good effort to bring the game back to what was supposed to be, but the damage was done (this was before redemption stories like No Man Skies...). The people who love the game today werent the same that lambasted it back at launch. the gaming media also didnt help, so the game didnt sell well and was rapidly put on PS+ (if I remember corretly it was even put there when the game was delayed? I may be mixin things up...I didnt follow this game all that much 7 years ago...).
Then the studio was dismantled, some devs got out, some others went to other Sony owned studio, another day in the industry....

i will always remember Driveclub as the best racing game i have play it was so good i was so happy and had so much fun playing it like when you played the old call of duty when they came out

everything about this game screamed quality and care honestly even down to the interiors of the cars and the animation when your character gets into the car its just bloody bootiful hopefully the new test drive can come in with this level of detail

I miss and LOVE this game. I wish they’d unlock the frame rate but there’s probably some hard coded programming that’ll make it a difficult thing to do

I used to play this game alot when I first got my ps4. It was the best, especially on a big screen TV. It was the game that really got me into my passion for cars and would still love to play this game today

Please try driveclub VR with the sim! The copies are exclusively going to be pre-owned now, but most GAME and Cex stores should have a copy knocking about.
Logitech and Thrustmaster wheels still work fine on it.
The VR version is just as stunning and fun to play, but in VR!
sometimes when i play this, i just sit and listen to the music and look around at the environment

In case anyone is wondering, my Fanatec CSL Elite does work with Driveclub, but you have to set it into compatibility mode (purple light)

Bruh you need to have that Thrustmaster experience. Thrustmaster was pretty involved with tuning their wheels with this game.

Theo...the entire soundtrack to Drive Club is the wonderful work of Hybrid...they are an awesome band and if you enjoy the game music I can absolutely recommend you look into their back catalogue and current sound...just released Black Halo, their 6th Studio Album...I am a huge fan and have been following them since early 00's!...Remember an old arcade snowboarding classic called SSX Tricky??....that's where the love affair started with Finished Symphony...sublime 🥰

DriveClub was a good game but what's even more tragic is the fact they are also responsible for one of my favourite driving games ever! MotorStorm/MS Pacific Rift. The vehicles, the tracks, the physics 😓 We need some reboots.
A new MotorStorm for PS5 and PC with every single car, environment, game modes, as well as photo mode and replay modes, and it would be a multi-million seller. I miss MotorStorm and I think that pacific rift is the best in the series, no other installments surpass it.
I got this game free with my ps4 when I bought it in 2014. Loved it and it was actually a lot of fun on controller.

I want a game like this where you get to drive lots of supercars on different roads around the world with satisfying arcade physics. Forza Horizon kinda does it, but the map is only of one area/country. And actually the only other game I can think of that does it is the pre-Underground NFSs!

I enjoyed this until i upgraded my PC and discovered 60fps driving and couldnt go back to this at 30fps. Also you will find it easier to use the wheel from the cockpit cam.

You should try it with Playstation VR. The VR experience is way better than the VR experience in GranTurismo. It's so realistic and the camera views inside the car is perfect!

My first PS4 game and it was a CD xd. Great memories playing it, ive had a few global records it was just great. Cars felt like you were really driving them. I get sad everytime i remember they killed this game. How dare you Sony...
